Yup, I agree. I knew a USAF staff sgt in the early 80’s. He was quite good at his job, but made it very clear if he was called to war he’d go AWOL. He did not believe in war, period. Wanted nothing to do with it. He preached this every chance he could.
However this guy, even though an anti-war lib, was not the nut job type that would set himself on fire to prove a point. To set one’s self on fire is pure unadulterated mental illness that should not be praised or supported by others.
