Why is there such a thing as “hate speech” anyway? Or “hate crimes?” Does it matter why a criminal assaulted, killed, or robbed somebody? That it was done with forethought and malice is enough for a conviction. No need for the Orwellian concept of “thought crimes,” ahem “hate crimes.”
