‘McCain-syle Republicans’ choose Gallego over Lake in Arizona Senate: Poll
Washington Examiner ^ | 2/22/24 | Samantha-Jo Roth

Democratic Rep. Ruben Gallego (D-AZ) takes a 10-point lead over Republican Senate candidate Kari Lake in a new head-to-head poll, the result of Arizona’s electorate “steering away from the MAGA brand.”

The new poll from Noble Predictive Insights (NPI) finds in a two-person race, Gallego leads Lake, 47% to 37% among likely voters with 16% of voters unsure.

Gallego, the likely Democratic nominee, and Lake, who is the front-running Republican candidate for the U.S. Senate, are competing for Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (I-AZ)’s seat. Sinema left the Democratic Party a little over a year ago to become an independent.

Nobody's shocked.

McCain-style Republicans are Democrats. That's why they'd support a Democrat.

Perhaps Lake should switch back?

The idiot military retirees will like him because he was in the Marines. Nevermind he went to Harvard, was Chairman for Swalwell for President 2020, Mexican dad and Columbian mom.

The McCain repubs will flock to him.

Morons. Arizona repubs are a lost cause.

There are no McCain republicans because they are Rats through and through.

There’s not a single conservative cell in their bodies. They hate America just like all the other Rats.

Noble Predictive Insights (NPI) doesn’t rate very high as a polling firm, so there’s that.

Don't forget that Juan provided cover for the 4 Democrats in the Keating Five.

Well then Ms Lake should not grace The Donald’s ticket. She has not a proven winner. Frowns a lot and adds nothing to ticket. Sorry.

Seems like it all is pretty bogus.

Sinema is not leaving the race. She likely leads both of these people.

The McCain machine would be very comfortable backing a communist. It’s up to the people of AZ to get off their diffs and vote.

Do these McCain Republicans really think choosing a Democrat will end well for them?

It's really tough to evaluate the polls but there is certainly a historic political realignment taking place in America

A significant number of RINO republicans are finding they have more in common with Democrats than with the majority of fellow Republicans

On the other hand, a significant number of traditional Democrats are finding they have more in common with Republicans than they have with the radical Democrat base.

More and more Democrats are coming to this realization as they watch their lives being ruined by Democrats increasingly insane policies

This dynamic is going to make the 2024 election one for the history books

What this dynamic has done is make the Arizona Senate race very interesting to watch

Sitting Senator Sinema loves her job and desperately wants to be re elected. She has made the political calculation along with Mitch MCConnell that her best chance is to become an ‘ Independendent to capture the emerging RINO and Democrat coalition, Gallego wants to try to capture the hard core woke and yellow dog Democrat vote and Lake is shooting for the non RINO, non McCain establishment MAGA Republicans and the cross over MAGA Democrat voters.

Lake may not have quite the cross over appeal Trump does in some segments but she has greater cross over appeal in other segments.

However, if Trump's crossover support keeps growing his coat tails will deliver a lot of cross over votes to Lake

Gonna be a serious three way race unless Sinema drops out and I think Lake is going to win The NRSC has come to same conclusion and has calculated that if you cant beat Lake ( and they tried and discovered they cant) then it's best to join her

Same thing that happened to New Hampshire. Maoists from Massachusetts moved up there...looking for lower taxes (no income tax *or* sales tax) and less crime. But they continued to vote Rat...and they still do. Now it’s just another filthy Rat Party cesspool.

From Wiki...

On February 9, 2023, Gallego voted against overturning the Local Resident Voting Rights Amendment Act of 2022, which would allow noncitizens to vote in local elections in the District of Columbia...

As of April 2023, Gallego had voted in line with Joe Biden's stated position 100% of the time.

Dems just LOVE to pose Veteran candidates with an American Flag as a backdrop, don't they?

Democrats.

Deceit is their middle name.
