This week, Palestinian Authority leader Mahmoud Abbas called on Hamas to reach a deal to free the Israeli hostages and spare Gaza additional death and destruction.
The move was brazen — because while Hamas is distressingly popular among Palestinians, Pres. Abbas (who’s plagued by corruption charges) is not.
Either way, it’s a call that the rest of the Middle East’s supposedly moderate Sunni Arab leaders could clearly learn from.

You better tell them about that, because Iran is at war with Saudi Arabia and others.
Trump and ISIS?!? WTF, how’d you careen over there? Don’t you have anything better to do than to start arguments over unrelated crap. The post was about “Hamas ending the war”. My reply called attention the hundreds of times Netanyahu made the statement you, after five months, finally saw. As I said, in order for Hamas to end the war, they would have to satisfy Netanyahu’s ONLY term, their elimination. You’ve got the headline of the post, my statement and Netanyahu’s quote. FRiend, I’d like to be able waste more time nursing you along on this but there’s nothing else I’ve got for you.
It’s an exact parallel. Trump said he would eliminate ISIS. It’s a terrorist group. Hamas is a terrorist group funded by Iran. It’s not the Palestinian people. If you say someone says they shouldn’t eliminate Hamas, then why should someone else say they can eliminate ISIS?
Also, what about “River to the Sea.” Many people not in Hamas say that, also progressives over here. Why is it okay to call for the genocide of Jews?
Because they’re effing Arabs.
Hamas is losing, which is fine with most of them.
Don’t worry. The war will be over in about 2 months after Israel finishes off Hamas in southern Gaza.
