They’re very cheerful. And they’ve hybridized s many gorgeous varieties over the years. I didn’t think about getting more at the right time. It’s been so long since I ordered anything from Breck’s, I forgot they ship in the fall. I’ll have to remember to order some later for next year.

No, I haven’t planted anything over here. There’s a bed along the front of the house between the sidewalk and the wall of the house but there was a huge fire ant colony under the sidewalk with openings all along it on both sides. No way I was digging in that bed! I think we finally killed them off because I didn’t see any ants last summer so maybe I’ll try prepping that bed this spring.

There’s a bed in the back yard with irises and daylilies.

I hope you can get rid of that fire ant bed for good. They are so nasty! I visited a vineyard in Bryan once, and they bit my feet. Hurt like the dickens!

We need new bulbs, but there’s really no point with it still being so dry. We’ve only had about .2” so far this year....nearly 2 months. If this continues....well, I don’t want to think about it. I want rain, darn it! LOL!

I hope you’ll be able to get new bulbs, too. Would they have any in the local garden shops?
