I hope you can get rid of that fire ant bed for good. They are so nasty! I visited a vineyard in Bryan once, and they bit my feet. Hurt like the dickens!

We need new bulbs, but there’s really no point with it still being so dry. We’ve only had about .2” so far this year....nearly 2 months. If this continues....well, I don’t want to think about it. I want rain, darn it! LOL!

I hope you’ll be able to get new bulbs, too. Would they have any in the local garden shops?

It’s hard to kill fire ants because their colonies are so large and deep. Hubby hit every mound he ran across with poison, including those along the sidewalk. I hit those with corn meal year before last and I think that did more to kill them than the poison. If I see any this spring, I’ll toss more corn meal out immediately. There’s still some of the poison in the garage as well.

You can always plant bulbs in pots. A lot of people do, like people who live in cities.

I can get basic daffodil bulbs locally but I want some of what Breck’s offers. They’re stunning and I haven’t seen any like them around here.
