Biggest threat to African women are African men.
This holds true EVERYWHERE especially in US urban cities.

Her way out would have been to wait to marry to have four children.
Of course she may have been abandoned or widowed but I see no mention of Dad(s). Of course she can’t support four kids by herself, subsistence farming.

I grew up in the 50s and 60s. We were bombarded by UNICEF ads - “only a dime a day will save a child.” Billions of dollars later and what do we have? More people, more grinding poverty, Islam, and hopelessness.
I read an article few years ago that postulated that aid to Africa is the absolute worst thing we can do. It causes lots more births and ultimately a lot more misery and starvation. It was brutally honest and seemed cold, but was probably right.

I wish I could remember the title but there was a book written that tracked aid to Africa since WW2 ended. It might have been written 10 years ago. Almost all aid is stolen by African govts. The conclusion was that over a trillion dollars have been sent to Africa and every bit of it is wasted. Achieved absolutely nothing.
Also all aid through NGOs is wasted. Most NGO “aid” is used to pay NGO staff. The only aid organizations that actually help people there are Church missions providing medical care, etc. UNICEF and CARE, etc are scams.
