Back around 1990, I recall discussing these issues with our adult catechism class, mostly women. (My wife taught Sunday school, so I was killing time.) I mentioned that there was a group called NAMBLA, North American Man Boy Love Association, whose goal was legalize sex between adult men and boys. They were incredulous. I never thought anyone would take NAMBLA as anything other than a bunch of perverts.
Now they are more "mainstream" than we are.
