Nearly four years after the start of the global COVID-19 pandemic, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention may soon drop the advice that people need to stay home for five days after testing positive for the virus.
The change comes as most people have some sort of immunity to the virus either through vaccination or having COVID-19 in the past.
“Public health has to be realistic,” infectious disease expert Michael T. Osterholm told the Post. “In making recommendations to the public today, we have to try to get the most out of what people are willing to do. … You can be absolutely right in the science and yet accomplish nothing because no one will listen to you.”

Pure comedy gold.
The entire concept of immunity seems like a new discovery by the Medical Establishment.
I’m convinced that a person would be best off by doing the opposite of governmental health guidelines.
Eat bread and soy
Do lots of cardio
Butt sex is fine
Get vaccinated for Covid
Social Media is healthy
Or
Eat meat and fat
Lift weights and sprint
No homosexuality activity
Take Zinc, D3, Magnesium and get ample sleep
Read books
They’re just tuning-up for the coming July-Aug new “plandemic” of some COVID derivative we’re going to be hit with. Watch for it...
A little late to the Game, right CDC?
Welcome to the party!
That and the virus, itself, has likely degraded from its “gain of function” virulence.
It is as though the entire world has forgotten that they mostly caught colds every Winter.
They are certainly sticking their heads in the sand as far as where this virus came from.
Everyone I know that has been vaxed got covid. More than once for a few of them.
Hey Mickey...
You and Yours have gotten away with the Greatest Hoax Ever perpetrated on the Whole World and perhaps for All Time!

Nuremberg 2.0 is a Humble Dream.
<Many people probably had a bad cold and not covid. I used to get colds worse than I felt with covid. It was mild.
yeah. unfortunately even here they gave a big ‘rat’s ass.’ i remember people busting my chops over a 13 day isolation guideline right here on this site. those FReepers ought to be apologizing to everyone at this point.
truth, according to my clinical lab scientist wife, is once you feel symptoms (and panic stricken per the CDC run to get tested), you’ve already been shedding for days. the spread is mostly asymptomatic. distancing, isolation, etc., etc. is just ridiculous. you can’t stop living because of a spreading virus. and isolating won’t do you any good anyway. everyone i know got it eventually, isolation or not, tested or not, mask or not, sanitizing or not.
as i said back then. 13 days or 5 days or 2 days ‘to stop the spread’ is ridiculous, an arbitrary isolation time is laughable. the real purpose is medical tyranny anyway. if you’re starting to feel sick, stay home and rest until you start to feel better, for your own good rather than trying to keep others from getting it. common sense for the common cold for centuries.
oh. and i forgot to mention: jab or not.
Yet another modified limited hangout.
The are two other coronaviruses that cause upper respiratory infections in humans.
I’ve always wondered about cross-reactivity in testing.
And maybe not just with those other 2 coronaviruses.
Would be a handy to way to inflate numbers.
“… need to stay home for five days after testing positive for the virus.”
“You can be absolutely right in the science…”
Of course, if you got tested because you have symptoms, you’ve been infectious for several days already.
Beat me to it. Is anyone following this tripe any more.
I will say this: People are starting to talk of the lockdowns like they talked of 9/11, or the space shuttle explosion, or Pearl Harbor. Meanwhile the damage is still being done. My closest city, Lousiville, KY was hit hard by the government response. LG&E, Humana and a third large employer (I forget the name) have drastically reduced their downtown footprint. And businesses that supported the employees of those businesses suffer for it. The amazing Deli in the LG&E building closed down permanently immediately. Stevie Ray’s, a local blues bar that was a staple of the area closed down. And all the folks who live in downtown condos, what of them? It’s drying up.
Meanwhile, my son was in the construction industry in Seattle with work flowing from everywhere. Not any more. And now Amazon is cleaning out some of its office space permanently. We’re seeing amazing business culture changes or businesses ending. The full impact is just starting to rear its head. Hence my tag line.
I would add slightly to your recommendations.
Eat meat, fat, fish, vegetables, fruits, whole grains, and whatever other carbohydrates you want in moderation. In general, try to cut back on fast and refined foods. Try not to be a glutton and get fat. Because, yes, it is a fact that the amount of food you swallow has a direct relationship to the amount that you weigh.
Lift weights and sprint and also engage in activities and exercises that get you off of your behind for an extended period of time, such as walking, hiking, golfing, cycling, or whatever else gets you up and about.
But most importantly, try to keep an optimistic attitude about your own situation, despite the overwhelming evidence that their are a lot of problems in the world.
Conveniently they are are admitting to science:
The change comes as most people have some sort of immunity to the virus either through vaccination or having COVID-19 in the past.
That means someone who is fever-free for at least 24 hours without medication, or if their symptoms are mild and lessening, they can break isolation, the newspaper reported.
So effin stupid.
I agree with all those.
I would describe my overall nutrition plan as mainly Paleo and Mediterranean.
I also do swimming, volleyball, meditation, and yoga.
I understand most have no desire to do what I do.
Only the mentally damaged believe anything they say anymore.
When they said masks work and natural immunity didn’t apply I knew they were full of crap and lying through their teeth. I didn’t trust anything coming out of the medical circus and the follow the new science pretenders.
My wife and I based our medical decisions on real science that we learned in the 1970’s-1980’s and ignored the medical circus clowns. Right now science is akin to kabuki theater.
