IDF spokesman Daniel Hagari on Monday morning gave a statement on the Sunday night rescue of two hostages, Fernando Simon Marman (60) and Louis Har (70), during an IDF operation in Rafah.
In his statement, Hagari said, "This was a complex rescue operation carried out under fire in the heart of Rafah, and based on quality intelligence. The ISA's operational unit, the police, Southern Command, Shayetet 13, and Brigade 7 of the Armored Corps carried out this professional and precise action. This is an operation which we prepared for over the course of some time - the necessary preparations were made and we waited for conditions which would allow it to be carried out."
At 1:49a.m. the special forces broke into the building in Rafah. The hostages were on the second floor. From the moment we began the operation, the soldiers embraced Louis and Fernando and began a difficult gunfight. Aerial support allowed the force to cut contact and hit the Hamas terrorists. The soldiers pulled the hostages out of the apartment, and they were rescued under fire until they reached the safe area. It was a very stressful and very moving night."
"Even after the successful rescue operation, we do not forget that 134 hostages are being held in Gaza. I turn to them with a message: If you hear me, know that we are very determined to bring you home, and we will not miss any opportunity for that. We will continue to make every effort to bring all of the hostages home."

Very good, IDF!!!
I hope they find intel on the other hostages in the big Hamas tunnel under the UNRWA’s HQ and are able to rescue them as well.
They went in wearing body armor and struck lightning fast before the kidnappers could recover and counter effectively, so they were better prepared to take a shot than those two old men.
72 Helen Thomases. Forever.
A joyous day for Israel and a bad day for Jotato and ring leader of the ‘save hamas brigade’ Obamatollah.
Awesome.
The video doesn’t show them being used as armor. One of them was cuddling a baby against his chest, and one of them gave a drink to a four-year-old and told him to say “Bismillah” before taking a sip. If anything, this video can be used as pro-Hamas spin.
Congrats IDF!
great work!
hoping hoping you can find and spring the rest of the kidnap victims free, ASAP
and kill all of the evil Fakestinians, may they burn in Hell for their many inhuman crimes and lies
Yeah, that’s the ticket, carrying the kidnapped baby in a baby carrier on your chest over your body armor with ammo around it is really protective and nurturing.
Go flog yourself!

“If you hear me, know that we are very determined to bring you home, and we will not miss any opportunity for that. We will continue to make every effort to bring all of the hostages home.”
I wish we had a country like that.
I’m not saying they were not using the baby as a shield. But they were not under fire in that video, so the connection, not being clear-cut in the video, can be spun as the opposite, and will be.
Sir, that was a video sent out to the world to show exactly what would happen if Israel attacked them. The whole point was to show the Israelis where their little kids were and what would happen if they attacked.
Even trying to show how it could be spun the other weay is giving them credence and cover. There is no cover here, Hamas was threatening the parents and the government.
And if I had been a parent of one of those children, I would have been back in uniform the next day, in line to kill some Hamas. Because the baby will go to Jesus if killed, but I would see the Hamas rats in hell.
Good post.
Prayers up for the hostages and the military who fight the terrorists and their enablers.
They can beg for a second chance to be thrown into a lake of fire instead.
“Compare that to the vile beings who took pictures of themselves wearing the babies as armor.”
A millstone around their necks will be the very least of their future problems.
Hooooooooooooooo Auuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu!!! Way to go IDF!!!! I pray for such actions every night at bedtime to the LORD!! HE was in this.
