Students at East Tennessee State University and others gathered to march in protest of Kyle Rittenhouse on Thursday evening. The protest came just a few hours before the controversial figure spoke at the Brinkley Center for a Turning Point USA event, which is a student-led group on campus. In 2020, a then 17-year-old Rittenhouse shot and killed two men during civil unrest in Kenosha, Wisconsin. In 2021, Rittenhouse was acquitted of homicide and other charges on the grounds of self-defense. When they announced they were bringing Rittenhouse to ETSU, a Turning Point representative said Rittenhouse would speak about the importance of the Second Amendment. “We’re trying to show that these soft-on-crime Democrat policies that are allowing the riots and burning down of buildings, the destruction of people’s safety and livelihood, that’s not what is good for American citizens,” ETSU’s TPUSA President Lakie Derrick told the campus newspaper The East Tennessean. Logan Taylor is the chair of the Young Democratic Socialists of America at ETSU, another student-led group on campus. Taylor organized the rally, saying he found the whole situation “upsetting.” “I wish we could gather here under better terms,” Taylor said. “But it’s another instance of a hateful individual getting a platform on our campus.” Washington County Democratic Party Chair Slyvain Bruni was also in attendance. “I’m here to support the voices who are protesting the event,” Bruni said. “I think bringing somebody who has killed people, who is just gun-toting and inciting violence basically is unacceptable.” Prior to Rittenhouse’s appearance, ETSU released a statement saying the event was not sponsored by the university and canceling it would infringe on First Amendment rights.

The police report accuses him of “lurking” in an area where police keep their private vehicles, videotaping them. The ticket is still open and comes before the court Feb. 3 [2022].
“(Grosskreutz) had no reasons to be there and had no vehicle in the lot. He was previously detained for prowling in the same area and released,” the report says in the prowling case. “Gaige appeared to be video taping personal vehicles in the rear police parking lot. Gaige made clear his anti law enforcement views. Gaige was arrested for prowling, booked, cited and released.”
"Grosskreutz does have another previous forfeiture case for not showing obedience to officers, as well as one for loud noises. He was convicted of a criminal misdemeanor in 2016 for going armed with a firearm while intoxicated."

When I was active with the FRee Republic WDC in the 1990s, early 2000s we learned that the LIEberal/Socialist/Marxist/Fascist/Communist/Democrat who marched in circles around WDC were PAID to put on their “demonstrations.”
We did not find out who paid them, but we knew they were paid. Most of them were FRom Eastern LIEberal colleges, told us they were given a bus ticket to WDC, food, a place to sleep, signs, etc.
Many others were Labor Union useful idiots who were, likewise, being paid to disrupt WDC with their “protests.”
In both cases, they were PAID to show up for a cause they really did not know or care about, but, hey! The money was good, and there were opportunities to get laid!
What a deal!
