There's a story where he went to a hot zone with Ted Nugent where the copter was taking some ground fire. "Ted, they said don't bring weapons - what the hell?" And Ted pulled out a .44 he brought along with a big smile.

That story is probably true. I can't imagine that Ted Nugent would shy away from a hot zone.
