I think everyone overestimates Jill’s role in all this. Yes she adores the trappings of first lady but she doesn’t come across as too bright or especially devious, just selfish.

I see Jill a little differently. The family has immersed itself in Joe’s political career and power. Do we know of any family hobbies other than”the beach”. I would bet Joe has been abusive to Jill, probably physically but definitely mentally, she fits the profile for sure and made to walk the line and still does.
My father has a PhD and doesn’t insist on being called Dr.
I still crack up when I remember Whoopie Goldberg fawning over DOCTOR Jill Biden and wanting her to be the Surgeon General.

I’m no fan of Jill, but watching my parents go thru one of them having dementia, it was denial until the very later stages, that there was anything significantly wrong. Little memory lapses or other issues were viewed as “normal” for older people.
I have to say that his grandchildren & other relatives & friends should be (and maybe have been) expressing their concerns.
