About 5am Jan 16th we had -8°, no wind, in Lewis county, TN.
I has to be the Environmental Impact of Millions and Millions of third world Illegal Aliens having their Ecological Footprint going up by 300% when they come here. We are all going to die.
That "hottest month in history" saw the temperature in Brownsville, Texas fall to the low thirties. Brownsville is less than 200 miles from the Tropic of Cancer.
Meanwhile, in the People’s Republic of Canada, it was so cold that the electricity production of wind and solar fell to practically zero. The European wind company Orsted announced massive scaling back of its activity, along with significant layoffs. It was determined that sometimes the wind just does not blow.
Not here. We had ten days where it never got above freezing, unusual for a mid-Atlantic winter.
Oooh, oooh, let me guess: I smell a federal grant nearby.
Our heat pump does the same thing below freezing, so in those sub freezing times we use an oil radiant heater (resembles the old cast iron steam radiators). We keep it just close enough to the heat pump thermostat to assure it doesn’t run non-stop.
We have a nice wood burner we bought from our neighbor, but haven’t done the room remodel yet to put it where we want it. He’s 91, and was tired of the labor involved, so he bought a propane heater to supplement his heat pump.
Tucson has been cold and rainy.

I’m just bumping your post so I can find this chart when I want to steal it!
Where is that picture of Goebbels?????
:)
I expect it EVERY time...no kidding, I really do. It highlights the Left’s attitude of tell them lies ALL the time...

And this one:
All 3 charts represent 3 cycles the Earth does, each over different time spans.
Warm periods tend to be higher crop yields, more predictable rain patterns, and less deaths by plague. The cooling periods are the opposite and the bad times to struggle for survival (at least from a climate perspective). Basically, we should be glad we live in the Modern Warm Period.
Which makes it harder to control the food. Control The Food, Control The People.
I call BS
These idiots should be grateful it was a warm January since the repulsive Euro trash have destroyed their energy industry.
“... why is my heating bill also the highest?..”
Partially due to the bitter cold, but mainly because of the filthy Biden anti-energy diktats.
Sheesh, what a load of BS.
