Take a look at a major US highway and the stream of cars. There are lots of such highways and maybe around 150 million motor vehicles in the USA.
Russian hydrocarbon production is quite comparable to that of the US. Imagine the power of those hydrocarbons if used to make explosives. Those hydrocarbons are available for Russian explosive manufacture because Europe refuses to buy them now and plans to eliminate hydrocarbon energy use.
