San Mateo County recently became the first county in the country to recognize loneliness as a public health emergency.
The county Board of Supervisors voted unanimously last week to approve a resolution introduced by Supervisor David Canepa declaring loneliness a health emergency.
In the resolution, Canepa outlined several strategies to address loneliness. These include strengthening social infrastructure, implementing pro-connection public policies, mobilizing the health sector, conducting research to deepen knowledge, reforming online environments and fostering a culture of connection.
“Many people are suffering alone in silence, and there’s no cure for it,” Canepa said.... Following the resolution, Canepa wrote a letter to Gov. Gavin Newsom, requesting he appoint a “minister of loneliness” for California.

Typical democrat ploy.
Create a crisis and the come on as if you are the hero to *solve* it.
Mabey because it's too dangerous to go outside?
Perhaps because the fam and neighbors have all moved to Texas or Florida?
Please don’t worry about us old men. We learned our lesson,
that there were far worse things, so we live with it.
It’s not optimal, but it’s not going to leave us with half
a heart, one lung, and not much more than desolation ahead.
I’m Lonely, Oh so Lonely.
‘Rat gas-lighting is the health crisis of the decade.
Must be a significant number of afflicted to get this urgent legislation passed!
Or, is this an excuse to make sure livable space is being optimally occupied.
Go to church. Volunteer at a homeless shelter or animal shelter. Join a sports league. Get a museum membership and go to social events.
I lost my wife of 40 years a while back and would never have come up with this one.
Simple solution: stop navel gazing and find a way to serve others through a church, charity or other worthy cause.
Songs to back it up.

Bobby completed his two-year military service during the late 1950s, after his graduation from the Duquesne University in 1956. He served in Fort Dix, New Jersey, as a chaplain’s assistant and played trumpet in the military band. After getting out of Army, he put together a band.”
song lyric:
Now I’m a soldier, a lonely soldier
Away from home through no wish of my own
That’s why I’m lonely, I’m Mr. Lonely
I wish that I could go back home
Letters, never a letter
I get no letters in the mail
I’ve been forgotten, yes, forgotten
Oh, how I wonder, how is it I failed
That’s why I’m lonely, I’m Mr. Lonely
I wish that I could go back home
I wonder if this will involve visits from the Loneliness Police. Just leave me the hell alone.
“...and while you’re at it, a minister of Crazy.”
No can do, we already have more official State of California Ministry of Crazy than we can afford (not that we give a damN)
Here comes the state funded, soon to be federal assisted, grief counsellors.

So, when you start talking to people, though, everyone tells you “I hate people. Hate being around them. Just want to go where there are no people. Or, I don’t do people.”
Many have ditched their family, their spouses and a lot of their friends in years past ...and now they’re reaping the consequences.
No, they don’t go to Church. They are typically not faith filled people, at all.
Lib culture has them where they want them — godless, no marriage, no kids, and isolated. This is the terminal result of liberal values and beliefs.
You call that crazy?
How about Monty Python’s Ministry of Silly Walks?
Probably influenced Gruesome’s silly thinking.
Monty Python is still up at YouTube
All due to the War on The Nuclear Family, the Democrats instituted years ago.
It’s official - we now live in an idiocracy.
