I’m not boycotting Bud Light.

I simply refuse to drink the awful stuff. Full price for ~70% of what might pass as simply bad beer.

I have drunk Busch, which I think is either Budweiser or Michelob depending on what is in excess.

You can well guess what might be in excess.

I’ll be leaving A-B products on the shelf.

Has Trump lost his mind?

????

Haven’t you heard? Trump just up and throwed Ronna under the bus.

No cold brewskis to be shared between them.

Follow the money... Trump’s message comes as a top Republican lobbyist for the company is set to host a fundraiser for the former president next month, with some tickets going at $10,000 each. Jeff Miller, a close confidant of former Speaker Kevin McCarthy who built his Washington business during the Trump years, announced on X, formerly Twitter, on Tuesday that he would be hosting the fundraiser. The event is set to feature dozens of members of Congress and Republican leadership, as well as Donald Trump Jr.

The headline explains all you have to know

” Trump, on eve of fundraiser with Anheuser-Busch lobbyist, defends company”

If A-B apologizes for backing medical fraud, brings back full quality Michelob and sells the beer at a competitive price A-B might recover significant market share.

I never gave Bud light a first chance, Don, but you’re entitled to one mistake per decade. (Jeff Sessions ring a bell?)

Within 24 hours, MAGA will be telling themselves Dylan Mullvany is actually rather attractive.

You win this thread.

While the Mulvaney backlash may have waned, the public has developed a taste for Mexican import beer, Modelo, now the number one selling beer in the US. Despite slick marketing, I doubt people will find the watery taste of Bud Lite still sppealing.

What on earth are you thinking, Mister Trump?

Absolutely not, never, ever.

And that's that.

Sure, I'll give AB another chance, a third, fourth, whatever - but let's be clear about one thing. What Heinersheid and her happy marketing team proclaimed was "People expect their brand to stand for something", which given the commercial that followed was staking out a formal AB corporate position in favor of the participation of trans, ie male, "women" in women's sports. That apparently was neither vetted nor approved, but it was intended and it was published. It has never been rescinded or even acknowledged. As far as the public knows it's still their policy. That needs to be addressed, not ignored.

It may not matter at this point. What matters is that corporate management have known since day one what the problem was and did nothing to fend off the inevitable back blast. Many in that management are gone now. So is their market. Will the market come back? Hard to say, but it took twenty years to build and it may take another twenty to rebuild.
