Putin's Election Plan is Backfiring
Newsweek ^ | Feb. 6, 2024 | Isabel van Brugen

Its latest analysis of the conflict in Ukraine on Monday, however, said that a recent announcement could signal that the Kremlin may have backtracked from this plan out of concern that Nadezhdin might gain too many votes and reduce Putin's margin of victory below levels the Kremlin is willing to accept.

The think tank was referring to an announcement on Monday from Russia's electoral authority, the Central Election Commission (CEC), regarding Nadezhdin, which said it discovered a 15 percent error rate in the signatures collected by his campaign. Under electoral rules, error rates must not exceed five percent should a candidate wish to be registered. The electoral authority is due to make a final call on Nadezhdin's candidacy on Wednesday...

The ISW said Russian officials and sources have increasingly censored and sought to discredit Nadezhdin after his campaign gained significant prominence and his popularity received a boost.

For example, Russian CEC deputy chairperson Nikolai Bulaev questioned Nadezhdin's integrity on February 2, saying that his "campaign collected dozens of signatures of deceased Russians."

Nadezhdin previously called for Putin's ousting in a rare display of public opposition.

"We simply have to choose different authorities to govern the country that would stop this story with Ukraine," he said on state TV channel NTV in May 2023, adding that he believed that a change of government would allow Russia to "build relations" with European countries and "everything will come back into place."

Nadezhdin said that in the 2024 presidential election "we need to choose somebody else, and not Putin. Everything will be good then." ...

The disapproval rate would be a lot higher if the Russian public knew the real extent of their losses

Even they understand a simple truth - “Ukraine never attacked Russia, so why is Russia attacking them?”

Putin has never made a convincing case for why Russia “has to” invade Ukraine ...

The CIA knows a lot about pedos IMHO so they can write up some good fake stories about Putin.

Sure, it must be the CIA.

Russian President Vladimir Putin lifts the shirt of a young boy named Nikita and kisses his stomach June 28 at the Kremlin in Moscow, ...

About that kiss ... Putin explains himself

>The disapproval rate would be a lot higher if the Russian public knew the real extent of their losses<

In today’s corrupt world, does any ordinary citizen of any country know the truth about their country’s actions?

>Russian President Vladimir Putin lifts the shirt of a young boy named Nikita and kisses his stomach June 28 at the Kremlin in Moscow, ... <

“His grandmother Valentina, who pushed him (Nikita Konkin) in front of the Russian president, recalled the excitement of the day, and said the president was “very highly regarded” in their family.

“Nikita was reportedly so besotted with the kiss at the time that he refused to wash his stomach afterwards, according to Russian daily newspaper Izvestia, which tracked the boy down after the kiss occurred.

“He reportedly told Izvestia that the pair had mutual affection for one another, and he wishes to be president someday.”

Putin is the President of Russia, therefore, in the eyes of most Russians, Putin is their Father (just as they looked upon the Czars as their Fathers), so looking through their eyes, we see a Father showing affection to his Children. It’s a symbolic gesture, nothing perverted.

If globohomo Zelensky kissed a boy’s tummy on camera, Zeepers would claim it’s a cherished, entirely wholesome, Slavic tradition.

Thanks for reminding us that Russia has elections, however flawed, unlike Ukraine. So much for the “pro-democracy” claptrap of the globalists who engineered the coup against the pro-Russian government of Ukraine in 2014, leading to the defensive Russian reactions in Crimea and the eastern provinces.

“Putin’s Election Plan is Backfiring”

...says that bastion of journalistic Truth, Newsweek.

What I see is Nadezhdin getting busted down for campaigning like a Democrat.

All this reportage from a grant-supported 501c3 run by...who?

As though the "margin of victory" is something that is up to voters there...

A bunch of FR posters claimed Putin was dead or dying for months.

He is doing amazingly well for a dead guy.

Lol.

We are talking about the Russian election, not the “election” that brought your US Uke corruption champion to power.

Hogwash. They know. The internet is still operating in Russia. Maybe the 63% approve of the invasion.

That’s my take, also.

I won’t quibble about whether Newsweek is accurately reporting what this group told them, but I’ll quibble quite a bit about whether or not this cast of characters can be trusted any farther than I can throw the Big MO.

So now the Kremlin will play its usual dirty tricks and disqualify Nadezhdin for having too many dead people, or not enough signatures, etc.

Substitute "deep state" for "Kremlin" and Trump for "Nadezhdin" and you have a duplicate scenario here in America.
