Running a small business has been a “special experience” for Mimi Striplin, the 31-year-old owner of The Tiny Tassel in Charleston.
Striplin started her jewelry company nine years ago and opened her first brick-and-mortar storefront in 2021, where she also sells whimsical clothing designed by her mother and goods made by other Black women-owned businesses. Her local community has helped uplift her business, she said, but she’s also experienced the hard times that come with entrepreneurship, especially now.
When she was invited to meet with President Joe Biden a few weeks ago as part of a small business roundtable ahead of the state’s February 3 primary, she had a simple message for him: See us. “I wanted him to think about faces like mine when he is speaking on policies and really moving things,” Striplin, who is also Asian American, told CNN.

So, the black woman cited in the article is planning on voting for Joe Biden again. Smart business woman. What the hell is wrong with these people?

I was even telling this to a black friend of mine, Biden will be like Obama and put illegal aliens ahead of blacks, and wow, talk about going overboard with that.

Black voters are moving toward Trump and have been for months. Biden dissed them and that’s a big deal in their culture. That’s why I changed my tagline a while back.
Boston just closed the community sports center, the only place for a lot of black youth to go do something legal and not immoral, and filled it with illegal aliens. Perfect opportunity; will the GOP press the point home? First, they’d have to find a Republican.
Black voters are being screwed by the D party.
Biden got the majority of black votes, but every Democrat does. They don’t mention that Trump got the highest percentage of black voters of any Republican presidential candidate in 2020 since Nixon.

Illegal aliens are replacing the black voters, replacing black workers and replacing black welfare recipients. Illegals will jump the line in front of blacks in every way.

Black voters didn’t bail them out. Black vote counters did. Biden did not outperform Obama in every black precinct in the nation. His cheaters worked overtime.
When the alternative is understood as a Nazi election denier, Biden is a no-brainer.
Some do. I wouldn’t expect even a 10% defection from the plantation though.
Uh, not so fast. Trump helped blacks financially after he got elected. Biden got elected and hurt blacks financially. Blacks need Trump's help again.
I’m reminded of former governor of Arkansas, Orval Faubus. In the 1950s, when running for office and after getting elected, he came off as a moderate on the segregation issue. It sounded as if he was opposed to segregation. The majority of black voters overwhelmingly voted for him.
But then Little Rock happened. The Supreme court ruled that laws segregating schools was unconstitutional. And 9 black kids were about to be admitted as students to an all white school.
This forced the governors hand. Now he couldn’t merely mouth off moderate platitudes. He had to pick a side on the little Rock incident. And he picked the side of the segregationists. He sent in the national guard to prevent the black kids from entering the building and later on shut down the schools.
When Faubus was up for re-election a couple years later, the majority of black voters overwhelmingly voted for Faubus.
