Now I will tell you the answer to my question. It is this. The Party seeks power entirely for its own sake. We are not interested in the good of others; we are interested solely in power, pure power. What pure power means you will understand presently. We are different from the oligarchies of the past in that we know what we are doing. All the others, even those who resembled ourselves, were cowards and hypocrites. The German Nazis and the Russian Communists came very close to us in their methods, but they never had the courage to recognize their own motives. They pretended, perhaps they even believed, that they had seized power unwillingly and for a limited time, and that just around the corner there lay a paradise where human beings would be free and equal. We are not like that. We know that no one ever seizes power with the intention of relinquishing it. Power is not a means; it is an end. One does not establish a dictatorship in order to safeguard a revolution; one makes the revolution in order to establish the dictatorship. The object of persecution is persecution. The object of torture is torture. The object of power is power. Now you begin to understand me.

It was possible, no doubt, to imagine a society in which wealth, in the sense of personal possessions and luxuries, should be evenly distributed, while power remained in the hands of a small privileged caste. But in practice such a society could not long remain stable. For if leisure and security were enjoyed by all alike, the great mass of human beings who are normally stupefied by poverty would become literate and would learn to think for themselves; and when once they had done this, they would sooner or later realise that the privileged minority had no function, and they would sweep it away. In the long run, a hierarchical society was only possible on a basis of poverty and ignorance.

So long as they (the Proles) continued to work and breed, their other activities were without importance. Left to themselves, like cattle turned loose upon the plains of Argentina, they had reverted to a style of life that appeared to be natural to them, a sort of ancestral pattern...Heavy physical work, the care of home and children, petty quarrels with neighbors, films, football, beer and above all, gambling filled up the horizon of their minds. To keep them in control was not difficult.

The essential act of war is destruction, not necessarily of human lives, but of the products of human labour. War is a way of shattering to pieces, or pouring into the stratosphere, or sinking in the depths of the sea, materials which might otherwise be used to make the masses too comfortable, and hence, in the long run, too intelligent.
George Orwell, 1984

Stupidity was as necessary as intelligence, and as difficult to attain.

10 toes - Nebuchadnezzar’s Dream - Daniel Chapter 2

10 regions - 10 kings

The Antichrist, “the little horn” shall subdue three

Daniel 2:41-45
King James Version

41 And whereas thou sawest the feet and toes, part of potters’ clay, and part of iron, the kingdom shall be divided; but there shall be in it of the strength of the iron, forasmuch as thou sawest the iron mixed with miry clay.

42 And as the toes of the feet were part of iron, and part of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong, and partly broken.

43 And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men: but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay.

44 And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever.

45 Forasmuch as thou sawest that the stone was cut out of the mountain without hands, and that it brake in pieces the iron, the brass, the clay, the silver, and the gold; the great God hath made known to the king what shall come to pass hereafter: and the dream is certain, and the interpretation thereof sure.

Daniel 7:8

I think this has really kicked in more recently than 100 years ago. I went to public school in the sixties and seventies in a blue-collar town outside of St. Louis and I got an excellent education. Some of my fellows, of course, didn’t take full advantage of what was offered, but that was more their fault. One of the things explicitly missing then was the weird, time-wasting stuff of today that relentlessly advances the abnormal over the normal. Of course, I had other teachers besides those in school: my parents, my church, even some of my neighbors. I have always been a big reader and used to read the encyclopedia and “The World Almanac.”. I’m approaching 67 and try to learn something new every day. I don’t consider myself exceptional. I just managed to get a good start that encouraged in me the essential human quality of being curious and pursuing that curiosity to knowledge.

Capitalists are logical and subsidiary. They can take thinkers and transparency because that’s where the money comes from. Sold math solid business model. Solid problem solving

Everything else is just subsidy from theme govt or some conglomerate with an agenda

People like to call them capitalists but that’s simply incorrect.

Capitalism is equated with wealth either through greed, theft, grift or capitalism

But capitalism is just capitalism and wealth can be either capitalism or ill-gotten. They are not the same
