Mr Trump dominates the Republican primary. Several polls have him ahead of President Joe Biden in swing states. In one, for the New York Times, 59% of voters trusted him on the economy, compared with just 37% for Mr Biden. In the primaries, at least, civil lawsuits and criminal prosecutions have only strengthened Mr Trump. For decades Democrats have relied on support among black and Hispanic voters, but a meaningful number are abandoning the party. In the next 12 months a stumble by either candidate could determine the race—and thus upend the world.

They also prefer to ignore that tradition Dem voter blocs are defecting members to Trump and why that is. Reagan was painted by the Carter loving press as dangerous too, in 1980. Press had Carter even or up a couple points until a couple days before the election. It wasn’t even close.

The Economist has not been a serious publication for quite some time now. At least it has not been a reliably objective one.
More establishment / elite. Which used to include most of the middle class, but which is now a much more exclusive club of New World Orderers.
I just quit reading them at all because of that left slant to just about every article. I decided that a lot of people kept it on their desk to appear erudite.
Trump is the greatest Danger to the Globalist economic order. The same order, as represented by The Economist, that spent the last 20 years outsourcing Western economic prosperity to China in exchange for a few billion dollars more to the top 1%.
Trump believes the well being of average Americans, not Oligarchs with multi billion dollar fortunes, should be the priority for American Government for a change.
