The kid was injured too. A lot of homeless people are homeless because they are criminals, drug users, or just sick people. Not all of them are just victims of the system.

News article says not her first offense. Before that, a man invited her in for a meal and she slashed him with a knife. Definitely unhinged and needed to be off the streets. Unfortunately, more than 6,000 other drugged out homeless on Portland streets.

Homeless people will often do heinous crimes just so they have a place to go to for three hots and a cot.

In my city, when winter starts setting in, homeless people will commit small acts of vandalism so they will have a place to sleep over night.

This is not Workman's first criminal offense, as the woman was also arrested in June 2021 after she slashed a man with a knife after he invited her to her house for a meal.

I guess not even violent criminals are being incarcerated anymore. So she got out to push a toddler onto the train tracks. What will be next?
