Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. may be considering a run for the Libertarian Party presidential nomination following a recent CNN interview conducted over the weekend.
Speaking with CNN anchor Michael Smerconish on Saturday afternoon, Kennedy was asked if he would consider seeking the Libertarian Party nomination. “Is it possible that you will seek still to be the Libertarian candidate, which would assure you getting on all 50 state ballots?” Smerconish said.
“That is something that we’re looking at,” Kennedy responded. “We have a really good, relationship with the Libertarian Party. I’m going to be speaking at the California Libertarian Party convention. I think it’s next week or maybe in a couple of weeks.”
Kennedy also said during the interview that he may speak to New York Libertarians at their upcoming state convention. The Libertarian Party of New York’s state convention is scheduled to take place from March 16 to March 17, 2024, in Watkins Glen, New York.
Smerconish then played an audio clip from an earlier interview between him and Libertarian National Committee Chair Angela McArdle, in which McArdle stated that Kennedy and the party had “a lot of good conversations” and are on “good terms.”

Not t good idea! I remember how Ross Perot queered the last election we had with a 3rd party option
The big problem is Kennedy is NOT a Libertarian. He is a Big Government Nanny State guy.
With Marxist tendencies!
He should be the green party Nominee. I notice no one is asking him about thay because that would ensure the right type of voters would support him and not the ones just fooled by labels. Problem is that would pull a lot of support from Democrats

Yep. I have put my money were my mouth is and actually voted libertarian in presidential elections in the past, and I would not vote for Kennedy. At least not with Trump on the same ballot anyway, but even without. He strikes me as a bigtime regulation and tax kinda guy.
I doubt the LP will nominate Kennedy, though the LP does enjoy being courted by successful politicians. Makes the LP feel important and relevant.
Much like a woman who enjoys the courtship of suitors, even if she intends to reject them after the flowers and compliments.
““That is something that we’re looking at,” Kennedy responded.”
Who is “we”? Kennedy and his speech therapist?
Kennedy and other third parties that are on the ballot in 2024, which were not in 2020 (dems bribed them to stay off), make the math impossible for the Dems to win, particularly if Biden is the nominee.
Dems will lose easily 2-3% (and possibly much more) in states they can’t afford to lose a vote in to these candidates.
Other than vaccinations, every tendency of Robert and the rest of the Kennedys has been to take money from one person and give it to another, while accumulating power over both (and making sure the Kennedy family pays little or none of those taxes). If the Libertarian Party whores itself out for the Kennedy publicity it will join the Republicans as a Democrat Auxiliary party.
He’s not really all that libertarian
RFK belongs in the green party. Him running as Libertarian will rescue Biden. This is very bad news
“””” I have put my money were my mouth is and actually voted libertarian in presidential elections in the past””””
Did you know their agenda and platform?
No libertarian, he. I like his vax deal. Thats about it
RFK JR really doesn’t have a shot at president no matter what party he represents, although Libertarian is certainly better than Independent.
I think if Trump wins in November, making RFK JR the acting head of the CIA would be perfect. He would finally be able to find out what happened to his father and uncle, and heads would roll.
It would be a delicious sort of irony after all these years, particularly for those of us who remember November 1963.
It would also be payback for what the intel community did to President Trump.
Katherine Hepburn on large doses of marijuana talking into a an electric fan.
> RFK JR really doesn’t have a shot at president
Funny you should phrase it that way.
In our current climate, how do you think the public would react if they ever learned what the Libertarian policies on the border are, or their response to pedophilia?
I get the impression RFK’s bid is fizzling.. am I wrong?
I just don’t get the impression there is much excitement.
The myth that Perot cost Bush reflection is a lie pushed by Bush. Polls and surveys after the fact showed Perot took Clinton voters that were never going to vote for Bush.
Liberaltarians are sideways Democrats so go for it Bobby boy.
