Russia denounces suspension of UNRWA funding by Western countries

Russia on Tuesday denounced the suspension of humanitarian funds by several Western countries to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), describing it as a “collective punishment” for the Gaza population.

At least 16 Western countries, including the United States, suspended funding to the UN agency last week, after Israel accused some of its staff members of involvement in Hamas’s attacks on Israeli territory.

During a press conference in Moscow, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov criticized the Western countries’ “wrong decision” as a “collective punishment” against the Gaza residents, which is “prohibited” by international humanitarian law.

The KGB invented the Palestinian nationality in the 1960s, and Russia is loyal to it’s most “successful” creation.

The KGB also invented leftist clergy in Latin America, which became “liberation theology” and culminated in the current heretic pope. Those guys got around.

According to the drunken House Madam, Mrs. Pelosi, Russia is also responsible for funding some pro-Pali protesters in the U. S. She may (astonishingly) be partially correct on that, though it makes for some nice Rat vs. Rat infighting these days.

Yep. Lavrov…Surprise, surprise. What better model on “collective punishment” and “international law”?

Cutting off support to @UNRWA - the primary source of humanitarian aid to 2 million+ Gazans - is unacceptable.
Among an organization of 13,000 UN aid workers, risking the starvation of millions over grave allegations of 12 is indefensible.
The US should restore aid immediately.

The line that separates Hamas from UNRWA has functionally ceased to exist. There’s not a sliver of daylight between the two.

The evidence must be really obvious if we are cutting off aid to UNRWA.

Hamas members are in UNRWA.

Usually we'll look the other way.

Believe it or not, there are far more Palestinian Christians than there are Israeli Christians.

(And based on demographic statistics that are publicly available, at least three quarters of said Israeli Christians are of Arab ethnicity.)

Not everyone views the conflict between Israel and Palestine in terms of “Jews versus Muslims”. To the best of my knowledge, that may be a popular view in the West, but it’s a distinct minority compared to those who view it as a territorial conflict, an ethnic conflict, or a proxy conflict between the West and/or United States (with Israel naturally being the proxy) and the Arab World.

After all, even now, a majority of nations do not recognize Hamas as a terrorist organization.

Russia is using this as propaganda saying the Western nations are now complicit in the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza. This is part of his ploy to have all the Islamic oil producing countries to switch over to an alliance with them and China with BRICS. If we attack Iran Russia is already hinting that they will support Iran just as we supported Ukraine against them. So you’re basically talking WW3 if this thing takes off.
