I would suggest that no one in Manila watches CNN.
It’s a start, but too little too late.
There needs to be truth in reporting laws. Freedom of speech is one thing but freedom to lie is yet another. It used to be lies could be told in the editorial column and the truth was found in the news stories.
And then there’s lies by omission of facts. Our southern border should be a major crisis discussed hourly on all news outlets.
There should be reporters embedded within military units of the Ukraine army to report the truth. To show victory if there is such a thing and the utter brutal slaughter if that’s the case. Instead we get BS from the Uke ministry of propaganda.
So this little CNN outfit going under is just a drop in the bucket.
I suspect, that the leftists are going to demand to be paid by government, “in order to defend and preserve ‘democracy.’”
With a lot of layoffs, the leftists will begin to hammer the liberal media audience, that the situation is dire, and “If Trump is elected, the free press will be doomed, exterminated.”
So the Democrat Party candidate will campaign on a platform including “Free Speech Reforms” - including a lot of free stuff:
- free e-mail
- free text messaging
- free subscriptions to [the left, to Facebook, to Google, etc.]
. . . all paid for by somebody else.
