Conor MacNessa - Final Goodbye

Conor MacNessa (Tom Mitchell) will be laid to his final rest at Arlington National Cemetery April 10. Unfortunately it takes that long to be scheduled with full appropriate honors.

I will be there, and invite any Freepers in the DC/VA/MD area who may have known and respected Tom to participate.

Yes, thank you.I did notice this event a little while ago, and though of making one of my acquaintances, another Corpsman living in upper MD, but I didn't know if it would be appropriate in this case. I did read of the whole summary of his life and of his service, a really fine fellow lover of Liberty for all.

Thank you again for re-notifying of the burial at Arlington. I wish I was able to go.

Actually and coincidentally, I just finished watchinf Mel Gibson's DVD "Hacksaw Ridge," a portrayal of the WWII Army medic Desmond Doss, who ennobled that service as a CO of being armed, but was awarded the Medal of Honor for his marvelous bravery and commitment to his MOS in bloody combat on Okinawa.
