The presence of Uhura on the bridge is a bad example of TOS being woke. The wokesters are the ones who make a big deal about skin color, then and now. The end of segregation was very much a church movement. Most of the god denying left are the ones who made a big deal about blacks being bad then, just like now they’re the ones saying whites are bad.
A better example of early Star Trek being woke is the cashless society they pushed.

No. It isn’t. She’s there SPECIFICALLY to be woke. The whole bridge crew was about being woke. A Japanese guy (remember we’d just had a war with them) and a black lady, and a half alien (representing all forms of “mixing”, which was kind of a big deal back then). ALL 100% there to be woke. Gene freaking said it, that’s why they’re there.
