Former President Donald Trump posted to his Truth Social account that he is encouraging all "willing states to deploy their [national guard] to Texas to prevent to entry" of illegal immigrants.
Trump made the call to do so after Texas Gov. Gregg Abbot declared an invasion and invoked Texas' right to "self-defense" in the First Article of the Constitution. At least 14 states have signaled supporting Texas in its efforts.

We cannot allow the practice of federal money to be used to coerce Staes into following unconstitutional laws. For over 100 years since Wilson, politicians from both partys have used the federal government to offer money with strings attached to entice the states into doing their bidding.
Well, Trump makes multiple statements every day. Are you sure you haven’t agreed with any of them for a long time?
