I think the Democrats know there is a limit to how much they can cheat - they are worried Biden is just seen as too much of a failure. They need to get a fresh face and blame all the woes on Biden.
That way, whoever it is gets a honeymoon from Democrat voters - then the election is close within the margin of fraud.
I can’t believe Michelle would give up her life on easy street - too self centered and lazy.

It's significant that DeSantis not only dropped out of the race--that makes financial sense by itself--but endorsed Trump. I think that will give a lot of NeverTrumpers for DeSantis permission to think and vote more normally.
I think the discussion on why DeSantis dropped out has another angle—not much discussed here (except by me :-) ).
His SuperPac/campaign intermingling of management and funds was a blatant violation of Federal Election Commission rules—probably rising to the criminal level.
If he continued it would just get worse.
I think his team was hoping that an early withdrawal would let them drop below the radar and keep them out of jail.
It may not work—this is still a ticking time bomb for the DeSantis folks, low hanging fruit for the FEC and Justice Department prosecutors if they want to go there.
There were several different press coverage articles (NYT, Atlantic were two) that got into the weeds on this stuff—lots of raw meat there.
On top of it she’s not a good person.
