Ron DeSantis ended his campaign to become the GOP's presidential candidate by using a fake statement attributed to British wartime leader Winston Churchill.

The Florida Governor signed off his campaign with the quote: 'Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts,' underneath the video where he announced he was removing himself from the running.

But the motivational words, which he attributed to Churchill, where never actually used by the statesman and former UK Prime Minister, according to history experts.

I’ll give DeSantis a pass on misspeaking here. When he dropped out, DeSantis could have endorsed Haley. Or he could have fumed, and stayed neutral. But DeSantis endorsed Trump.

Yeah, even as a Trump guy I got to agree, I mean Trump just confused Nikki Haley with Nancy Pelosi in an old age hiccup way reminiscent of Biden and some are FR are still trying to pile on DeSantis? I made money (through betting sites) on predicting a Trump win in 2016, thought we would win narroly in 2020 (I think we did) but with continued name calling resulting in unfavorable Trump ratings and a divided GOP -its what Dems were going for and makes Trump winning a longer shot in 2024 than his two other runs.
