A recent study by Consumer Reports, in collaboration with The Markup, has unveiled the extensive scale of data tracking aimed at Facebook users. Some users in the study were tracked by as many as 7,000 companies.
A recent study from Consumer Reports engaged 709 volunteers who provided archives of their Facebook user data. Astonishingly, Consumer Reports discovered that 186,892 different companies transmitted data about these users to Facebook. On average, data from each participant was shared by 2,230 companies, with some users’ data being shared by over 7,000 companies.
This examination highlighted a lesser-known form of tracking known as server-to-server tracking, where personal data is transferred directly from a company’s servers to Meta’s servers, alongside the more visible method involving Meta tracking pixels on company websites.
Emil Vazquez, a spokesperson for Mark Zuckerberg’s Meta, defended the company’s data practices, stating: “We offer a number of transparency tools to help people understand the information that businesses choose to share with us, and manage how it’s used.” However, Consumer Reports identified issues with these tools, including unclear data provider identities and companies that service advertisers often disregarding user opt-out requests.

This goes on in other countries.. Dividing words, trying to not get a notice.
The great United States, elected a non American patriot.. Then they put in an unelected control freak with limited brain capacity.. And our great United States became like the other lower rated countries.
For this senior.. Who remembers WWII and the patriotism.. Never imagining becoming like the counties we fought freedom for. We were invincible.. Till time and success took its toll.. Thankfulness turned into comfortable taking it all for granted..
Not knowing how bad it could be.. The younger generations not experiencing a country lost.... There are no words..
Know what is going on,... Know who is FOR you and who wants to control you.
The rest aren’t great.
[elected a non American patriot]

Cancelled my FB 2017.....................
“beyond an occasional click on something linked”
So you’re way behind the curve — only 100 companies track you.
Oh no’s!
Facebook is ground zero for scams of the elderly where thousands have lost their life savings and that bastard Dork Zuckerturd can’t be sued.
A worthless social media platform that ruins lives and marriages.
Uh oh! They can find my FB profile right next to my vax certs. Oh, and a list of Kwanzaa cards I sent out......😆

And when you tell Farcebook users they are being monitored, they laugh as though it could not be true. Others simply brush it off by saying they have nothing to hide.
Then there are those that take the moral high ground and shame non-users for not using Farcebook to keep in touch with their family.
I had a good email friend that gave me an ultimatum, either keep in touch via Facebook or never hear from her again. I have not heard from her in 10 years.
A few days ago at a gun shop I was told to check out some deals on Facebook. I told the store clerk I am not a Facebook user, and he laughed and said no one is watching me.
There will always be sheep wanting to be eaten by the wolves. They can’t help it, it’s in their genes.
called “Fakebook” for a reason. always been agin it.
If you sit down at a poker game and you cannot tell who the mark is, it’s you.
This sounds more like they monitor their customers or consumers on only their websites, but they transmit to Facebook that recorded behavior, probably to market to them, being paid by Facebook.
(2) — TWO, girls at the front desk forgot they friended the boss when they posted themselves actually skipping work on their page...
both got fired, brilliant
Every single person who has a facebook ID has agreed that facebook can collect all available data on their phone or computer and sell it to whomever they choose.
“”We [America] were invincible.. Till time and success took its toll.. Thankfulness turned into comfortable taking it all for granted.””
There is a fantastic quote. I’m not sure of the original source. Bongino sites it off and on.
Hard times create strong men. Strong men create good times. Good times create weak men.
And, weak men create hard times.
There are millions who still believe America is the Last Best Hope. That is why they had to cheat so much in 2020. They were not prepared for the amount of real votes for President Trump. While there is much to fix in the coming years, in America, you can fix it. Even before the current cold, wind farms were being rejected. Off the coast of New York and New Jersey, wind companies have decided not to build. One of the companies was offered a $billion$ plus, and still declined, stating it is not economically viable. Before the current cold, EVs sales had plateaued. Now, with thousands and thousands of EVs stuck in the cold, sales will fall even more. Hertz Rentals have significantly reduced their Tesla fleet. Besides all current problems, Hertz has a good record selling their used cars, except for the Teslas. The resale value of Teslas has dropped significantly. All of the EVs have major issues with repairs and parts for those repairs.
Canada is re-learning that when it is cold enough, there is no wind, and the solar panels are covered in ice and snow.
We will fight and prevail, because we are Americans.
Non American
Not an American Patriot
Not a Canadian patriot, example
Could have worded it better
The only social site I ever signed up for was Myspace. Even then I used a made up name.
