"I noticed that he threw -- um -- Vivek under the bus. I've seen a candidate run for an office and basically campaign for another candidate in the same race before, but that's what's happened. And the minute he wasn't useful they dropped the hammer on him. That's just the way they are.
We're going to go forward as a party. We can go forward in a way that's focused on peoples' issues and a great agenda for America, or we can go forward with Trump, which will be focused, the 2024 election, on legal issues, criminal trials, convictions, on all these things with January 6. That gives the Democrats a huge advantage going forward. And I don't think we want to do that, why would we give them any advantage?"

If I base my support on w Ho the DemonRats hate the most then the answer is easy.
I spent all my time visiting 99 counties in Iowa and all they gave me is this participation trophy.
They hate Trump. They fear DeSantis.
Sorry, but that is just not true. You are spreading falsehoods. Put down the Kool Aid.
Hypocrite. That’s exactly DeSantis. Now go away.
Absolutely hte opposite. He is anything but that. He is the one candidate running on his policies and achievements, on a defined set of principles. Sorry if that bothers you.
The art of war.
I don’t see it that way. For many voters Trump could use Vivek’s transfer perception of integrity honesty, love of the constitution and especially loyalty. To this point, Vivek has been nothing but a stand-up guy supporting Trump. If Vivek loses, it is all good for Trump if the unity is sustained.
I call it the Ben Carson effect.
I agree
Desantis was my number one and if these polls are correct then tonight I’ll be very disappointed
We had a chance to pick a trump like candidate, a no nonsense candidate who is more honest then trump. It’s unbelievable how we screwed this up
With Desantis we had a chance to take back the White House and put in a pit bull. Now my hope is on Nikki
People are so stubborn and can’t see 2 feet past their nose
Hi Ron. Campaign not going so well, eh?
Again, that’s not true.
I agree mostly - I really like Vivek and think he’s been a great contribution to the dialog. There are a lot of true things that only he and a few others have had the balls and the clarity to say - things that really needed to be said.
I also very much liked Vivek’s response where he declined to engage in friendly fire.
However, that stunt with the “save Trump -vote for Vivek” was more than meets the eye. It was super disrespectful. It was certainly out of character for Vivek - and it’s possible he did not think it through, and meant it as a joke. Maybe he thought people would think it’s funny.
Here’s why I don’t think it was at all funny:
President Trump is facing 700 years of prison time, and if that’s not bad enough, I really think they are going to kill him if they can’t stop him any other way. It breaks my heart to say that out loud, but you know these people will stop at nothing.
Due to his courage, strength and bravado, he makes it look like he’s not afraid - but don’t believe that for a second. He’s got to be under a lot of pressure. He’s got to be thinking about how all this will affect his family. He has got to wonder at times whether it is worth it. He’s got to have dark moments of doubt - will this story have a happy ending where he serves his second term? Or will he wind up dying in prison - or worse?
My heart goes out to him and his family. I often fantasize about getting to sit down with him and having the chance to say something to him. I would want to find the right words to tell him how much I admire his courage - and that I actually think of him as a hero.
There’s only one pathway that keeps him out of prison, and that is winning his re-election - that will be the American people rendering their verdict. Innocent. That will also give him a chance to clean up the DOJ.
Vivek should not have joked about “saving Trump” - that was really disrespectful to make light of something that serious.
You know when he made that crack what popped into my head was the humiliation of Nixon having to be pardoned by Ford.
I’m sure Vivek did not mean it that way, but it really rubbed me the wrong way.
I think all these challengers never should have run in the first place - Trump won in 2020 and the election was stolen - any self respecting Republican should have risen to Trump’s defense, and fought hard to contest that election.
Instead they run against him. Shame on them. I thought Vivek was different - I thought he was pro-Trump but just trying to get picked as VP..
He’s not even doing the job in Florida. He’s a political ho. Sorry you can’t see that.
Desantis has no problem with Americans having their vote stolen and no problem with an illegitimate election.
Even Tucker Carlson, who wanted to get evidence that Trump had won, said no evidence had been produced.
Trump has Trump’s interests at heart. This whole campaign is about punishing his enemies, avoiding prosecution, and raising money.
He’s running on the same promises he made in 2016. How come you didn’t get them done the first time, Donald?
Go back to DU. Your brilliance is telling.
Trump did fewer deportations than 0bama. He ran up over $8 trillion in debt in just four years. He caved to Democrats on every spending bill and even border bills. He built very little new wall. What did he do to stop the decline?
We don’t have “turns.”
Nobody is entitled to the nomination.
