Report: Iowan Democrats Could ‘Crash’ GOP Primary to Boost Haley’s Turnout — ‘I’ll Hold My Nose’

Many Iowan Democrats reportedly plan to brave frigid temperatures on Monday and “crash” the Iowa caucus to artificially inflate former Gov. Nikki Haley’s election results against former President Donald Trump.

The potential Democrat vote for Haley would confirm Haley’s campaign is backed by Democrats and establishment Republicans who hate the former president.

Iowan caucus rules allow for “mischievous” anti-Trump voters “a chance to diminish Trump’s inevitability,” as Don McLeese of West Des Moines told Axios.

“I’ll hold my nose and caucus for Haley,” McLeese added.

Because Democrats see Haley as the alternative to Trump, they could artificially improve her election result ahead of Gov. Ron DeSantis (R), GOP strategist David Kochel told Axios.

“If you even had 5,000 or 7,500 people across the state cross over for her, that might be the difference between her and Ron DeSantis,” Kochel said.

Well behind in the polls, Haley’s team refused to condemn crossover voters. Haley is a “tried and true conservative who’s working to earn every vote,” Haley campaign spokesperson Olivia Perez-Cubas confirmed to Axios.

No doubt in my mind that the Democrats prefer Nikki over President Trump.

Wait, I thought that the lefties WANTED Trump to get the nomination so they could jail or thrash him in November.

Once these clowns pick a script, they need the discipline to stick to it.

Sounds like 2008 obama redux, but with GOP as the target.

Policy-wise, she's pretty much a female Barack Obama so there's not much for Democrats to fear from a Haley win.

It is sad watching all the fake news pushing the GOP primaries as if they are truly important.

It will be Trump. Period. Unlike primaries of the past it really does not matter who comes in 2nd and the only reason people are still donating money to them is that they believe it will hurt Trump.

Regardless of what you think about Trump he is the nominee. All of this money “donors” are providing to Haley, DeSantis, or Vivek is money better spent on defeating Biden. IF Trump can win back the WH he has 4 years and that is it - the smart play for a reasonable politician would be to drop out, endorse him, campaign for him, and set yourself up for 2028.

It’s not really about that though is it? This is more of the GOPe backstabbing games - it’s their party and they hate Trump about as much as the democrats.

These are likely lower tier Dhimmicrats that are following the media narrative not understanding the real plan. The Demoncrats in charge most certainly anticipated these reactions and factored them in because they further the efffectiveness of their psyop to the Trump base.

There is unfortunately an insidious genius to the Dim strategy that seems to be going as planned. But Brandon does has that ability to F’ things up royally, so there is a glimmer of hope left.

A party that allows its political opposition to participate in the selection of its candidates is doomed. Republican parties in all states should change their rules to require everyone participating in the process to present identification to verify citizenship, residence, and party membership.

If you’re unwilling to register as a member of the party, why should you have a voice in choosing its candidates?

If a state has laws about “open primaries”, change to a caucus system.

Of course they are not important.

Independents are 47% of the electorate. Dems and GOP 27% each.

You won’t hear this from the Swamp. You have to dig into polling internals to find it.

Perhaps it would be better if party presidential candidates were picked by the party’s sitting state governors.

It would prevent the nasty mudslinging of the primaries.

Primaries came about during the ‘Progressive’ [i.e. rebranded Communist] era.

Primaries and caucuses for a particular party, should only involve the voting of people who are verified to be associated with that party for a substantial period of time. These last minute, sign ups, so that the opposition party can screw with the results, is election interference in my opinion. Why both the Republican and Democrat parties allows such a thing, when they have both been screwed with, is beyond me. if you are a Republican or a Democrat, you should have to prove that in order to vote in a primary or a caucus. Proof would be very simple, it would be registering that way, and keeping that same registration since at least the prior national election cycle.

"Many Iowan Democrats reportedly plan to brave frigid temperatures on Monday and “crash” the Iowa caucus to artificially inflate former Gov. Nikki Haley’s election results against former President Donald Trump."

The hypothesis is such a sham -- a Democrat, a couch potato on the government teat, is going to go out in sub-zero weather to sidle up to GOP regulars who know he's a down-low vagabond dishwasher ex-rent boy and has three active warrants for 'loitering in a public place', he's going to take the pipe out of his face (lofl) for maybe 4 hours and stand there for Nirvana.

That's not just bullshit, but the kind of every-4-year repetitive bullshit that wonders how karma hasn't smited every last one of these #MSMr's who spend every election season denigrating Republicans.

“I’ll hold my nose and caucus for Haley,”

This illustrates the tribalism of American politics. She has the wrong label by her name, therefore he has to hold his nose.

In reality a vote for Haley and a vote for Biden are not very different. Maybe minor stuff at the margins.

Textbook. This is exactly how the CIA and military manipulate elections in other countries.

This is a military operation.
