Authorities discovered underground tunnels built into Orthodox Jewish buildings in New York City. Roughly 20,000 people reportedly live there and the tunnel system was built illegally in response to pandemic restrictions. Police forced people out and arrested at least 10 people. What is this about?

Pretty obvious to me. They need a way out of their synagogue if (really when) the Leftists trap them in their and set fire to it (see Odessa, 2014, as an example).

I’ll just say the lightning speed that concrete trucks were brought up and the odd number of mattresses found in the tunnels (with stains)...some folks covering up a sexual-use territory.
I read the tunnel went from the synanagogue to a communal bath house so the Hasidics could engage in ritual communal bathing.

Correct, but when did I say anything about Jews being involved in the Odessa massacre? Those were Ethnic Russians killed by Ukrainian Nazis (US allies) locking them in and setting it on fire.
BUT, if they had a tunnel-escape, they would NOT have been killed. Jews in NYC are in a similar situation...surrounded by people who also want them dead - so, to me, having a tunnel-escape system makes PERFECT SENSE.

You are presumably familiar with mikvahs as a gentile through the ritual of baptism. While there are obviously theological doffernces, it’s the same process of submerging in water, and where the Christian practice came from.
That’s how the author phrased it. I presumed it was for ritual bathing and I did not presume that there was any homosexual context to the intent.
New York is denying them permission because the homosexual community would be up in arms that they can’t have their bathhouses, so they built a tunnel between the synagogue and the Mikvah.
That’s how I took what I read what Jews were up to and why they went about this like this.

Thanks. The Crown Heights Riots in NY City really shook up the Jews there, as basically the Amish were given 3 days or so to ‘express their rage’. Of course the media mostly blacked it out, but there’s plenty on the web about it (including in Wikipedia). So my first thought for their tunnels was escape, should that be allowed to happen again.
That is what I heard and it is being totally ignored.
This story is all blown out of proportion.

The only unbiased report I’ve seen/heard on this was on the radio yesterday and I’m not interested in obsessing on propaganda until the ‘smoke’ clears.
Some of my industry’s training materials even to this day include a case study for the infamous NYC fire of October 17, 1966 — where 12 firefighters lost their lives fighting a fire in a building where the floor collapsed due to this kind of illegal alteration. That event was noteworthy because it was the worst loss of life for the FDNY in a single incident until 9/11.
It’s kind of embarrassing when you see video clips like the one for this current story where you see a bunch of white people acting that way and they’re not AntiFa or British soccer hooligans.
