So what? There’s no jury.

This judge is biased and corrupt as sin. The facts, the closing argument don’t mean anything in this kangaroo court. New York law enforcement and the judiciary are a Soros joke.

Not so sure that was a good idea to start with.

I cannot imagine this is legal. This is the most basic fundamental right to speak in your own defense

You are probably correct on that. He does wander when he speaks.

I think Trump knew so. Makes the judge look bad to the right and corruptible solid to the left.

This is so stupid. He fires his lawyer right before the closing statement and does it himself. When he fires his attorney, he keeps him for legal briefs sitting at the table and represents himself. And the cat is skinned again just another way. Legal mah jongg.

Perhaps Trump should récord his closing arguments and have his attorney rehearse them.
Delivery Trumps closing arguments while wearing an orange wig! The trial already a clown show. Why not finish it in kind.

Abraham Lincoln
Those trained in the legal profession often point to a famous Abraham Lincoln quote when discussing pro se defendants: “The man who represents himself has a fool for a client.”

I do recognize and appreciate PDJT, my favorite POTUS, to be a Stable Genius but this would be a risky move for anybody!!

EXCEPT, Eddie, this is no normal trial.

There is no jury, and the judge has already made his decision before he heard a word of testimony.

Nothing Trump can say will move this judge.

It is a show trial for the media to skewer Trump with a “guilty” verdict they can report breathlessly and repeatedly.

Why should he he not push back with his words?

He had a chance to testify but chose not to.

ITS NOT ABOUT THAT.

Its about refusing to give Trump a campaign platform.

Its a 1st amendment Freedom of Speech issue, violation of Trumps civil rights under color of law.

And gagging him in court is a very rich ground for appeal.

Testimony and closing arguments are completely separate things in a trial or hearing.

It isn’t a campaign platform though, like debates.

True. Defendants don’t usually give closing statements and lawyers or people who make them are not under oath.
