Abortions are legal up to birth in New Jersey, but apparently that’s not enough for New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy – who now wants free abortions that will greatly expand the number of babies abortion kills.
Murphy used his annual State of the State address Tuesday to push more abortions. He did what every pro-abortion Democrat always does – call killing babies health care even though legitimate health care doesn’t kill patients.
“We have seen a resurgent, radical, right-wing agenda that is hellbent on coming after our fundamental rights. Voting rights. LGBT rights. Reproductive rights, and explicitly, the right to an abortion,” Murphy said. “There is no sugarcoating it: Women’s health care in America is in a state of crisis.”
He called 2022’s Supreme Court decision to get rid of Roe v. Wade and it’s awful legal reasoning the “dreadful Dobbs decision.”
After saying that, Murphy said he wanted to eliminate out-of-pocket costs for abortions on state-regulated health plans. That’s a fancy way of saying he wants to force taxpayers to fund free abortions on government-run health care plans.
Last year, many New Jersey health insurance plans were forced to cover elective abortions. Even though killing unborn babies is not health care or a right, Gov. Phil Murphy’s administration claimed both when it issued the mandate late last year. Part of the Democrat governor’s order went into effect Jan. 1 and even more health insurance providers were forced to comply later last year.
But Murphy wants legislation to make his order more permanent.
The Murphy administration introduced the regulation after the state legislature rejected a similar proposal in 2022. New Jersey already forces taxpayers to pay for elective abortions through Medicaid, and more than 22,000 unborn babies are aborted in the state every year.
The new mandate applies to groups that sell insurance through the New Jersey health insurance marketplace Get Covered New Jersey, a spokeswoman for department Commissioner Marlene Caride told NJ Advance Media. The School Employees’ Health Benefits Program and the State Health Benefits Plan, which cover government employees, also will be required to cover elective abortions by 2024, according to the report.
New Jersey Right to Life executive director Marie Tasy told LifeNews that the governor is doing the bidding of the billion-dollar abortion chain Planned Parenthood, which donated heavily to his political campaigns.
“Announcing this regulation to include abortion on demand coverage up to the moment of birth on Thanksgiving Eve and once again fast tracking the process during the Christmas season and depriving NJ citizens of adequate public input on the matter demonstrates a display of unparalleled abortion zealotry and repugnant arrogance by Governor Murphy and his administration,” Tasy said.
She said Murphy already has forced state taxpayers to give $114 million tax dollars to Planned Parenthood since being elected, a figure that is higher now.
ACTION ALERT: To complain, Contact Gov. Phil Murphy.
In California, anyone can get a free abortion no matter how rich they are, or where they are from.
I guess the New Jersey Gov doesn’t realize WHO he will ultimately answer to.
Chick-Fil-A may squawk, but Sbarrao is in I'm sure.
America is past due for Judgement.
‘I guess the New Jersey Gov doesn’t realize WHO he will ultimately answer to.’
you ean the same Who that hasn’t lifted a finger to curtail abortions since it became the law of the land in 1973...?
I’m sure all the aborted babies and those to come will be ecstatic when Murphy is judged at some unknown time...
America’s judgment will be horrific when it comes.
I’m afraid we’re living it daily and the ruinous finality of it might be a lot sooner than we realize.
So, yes - I’m heavily agreeing with you.
as much evil is present in this world today we can expect that evil men will grow worse and worse. the thing is though...when all is done and said there are a few people I wouldn’t want to be in the shoes of. this man is one of them.
You may want to check your post for blasphemy;
it is not a good idea ..
