If Donald Trump is right that presidents have immunity, then why did Richard Nixon need a pardon?
Trump was in a Washington, D.C. federal courtroom Tuesday, Jan. 9 where his attorneys argued before an appeals court that the four-count indictment against him for 2020 election interference should be dismissed. Their position is that Trump, as president at the time, is immune from prosecution because he was carrying out official duties.

What does reality have to do with anything? Nixon had a collection of backstabbing Republican Rinos who would convict him if it went to the Senate, and so *BECAUSE* those Rino backstabbers would convict him, he needed a pardon.
But did he do anything wrong? No. No he did not.
Picking Ford was the cause of the loss. He was as exciting as mold.
Had they picked Reagan in 1976, the world would be a better place now. Iran would have never been taken over by Religious fanatics, and middle eastern terrorism would have never become such a large problem for the world.
Ford deserved to lose for saying Eastern Europe wasn’t under Soviet Occupation.
The fact Ford *could* pardon Nixon underscores the point of Presidential immunity.
Just like Donald Trump, Richard Nixon was totally framed by the Military Industrial Complex, or Deep State, or whatever you want to call it.
There are three differences that put Nixon in worse jeopardy than Trump:
1) There was no alternative media to speak of. The propaganda machine was 100% in control of the narrative in 1973.
2) Nixon left office deep in debt, whereas Trump has money.
3) Trump has immense brass balls. Nixon had decent sized balls but nothing like Trump’s. Nobody has balls like Trump.
Carter won with 297 electoral votes. He carried Ohio by 11,000 votes and Wisconsin by about 35,000. If Ford had carried those states he would have won.
That is because only a Democrat President has immunity.
Apples & Oranges. Nixon resigned rather than face impeachment and trial in the Senate for his wrongdoings. Trump was impeached but acquitted by the Senate for pursuing legal remedies for what he believed was a compromised 2020 election.
Unlike former President Trump, Nixon needed a pardon because he didn’t face double jeopardy.
If Trump had immunity as president, then why did Nixon need a pardon? What to know
Ford deserved to lose for saying Eastern Europe wasn’t under Soviet Occupation.
He said.. I don’t think Poles think themselves under Soviet Control. Co coo land.
That’s right. It was the threat of impeachment that caused him to resign. Bill Clinton was the first wrong doer who actually doubled down on it and beat the trial after he was impeached.
For one reason-The Break-in at the Watergate was NOT part of his Duties and responsibilities as President. His Plumbers were violating the law by Breaking in to DNC HQ.
The Crime he committed was the coverup.
That and to end the BS was why he was pardoned.
He said.. I don’t think Poles think themselves under Soviet Control. Co coo land.
Should have burned the tapes.
Innocent till proven guilty.
Obstruction is the go to charge for the Democrats.
The charged was hyped by the enemedia.
Nixon believed what traitor John Dean said.
John Dean said something else to the media.
The virus was started by John Dean.
He instructed the plumbers to invade the democratic party office and lied to protect himself
