Email Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin has been hospitalized since Jan. 1 for complications following a surgery to treat prostate cancer, officials at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center said Tuesday.

The news of Austin’s treatment and condition came after a tortious week during which Austin was hospitalized, but the Pentagon refused to say why.

Austin underwent the initial prostate cancer surgery on Dec. 25, during which he was under general anesthesia, according to doctors from Walter Reed.

On Jan. 1, Austin experienced complications from the surgery including nausea and severe abdominal, hip and leg pain, which was later identified as a urinary tract infection. On Jan. 2, he was admitted to the intensive care unit at Walter Reed where he was treated for intestinal issues.

Calling him names does not make him wrong. In tests there were lots of fatty cell cancer side effects which is one reason mRNA treatments were not approved.

Now call me a name so everyone will know who brilliant you are.

Elective surgeries are normally scheduled weeks in advance, why didn’t he tell anyone?

In thinking about Scott Swift and the robot that sucked out his prostate I wondered if my robotic hysterectomy sucked out my female parts.

Never thought of it that way. At least I didnt have to wear a diaper for 7 weeks.

I had the aggressive kind. The biopsy was a somewhat unpleasant procedure in the urologist’s office. A few weeks later I underwent robotic prostatectomy. I guess you could call it ‘elective’ since I elected not to die from bone cancer in a couple of years.

I was released from hospital the next day, but went home hooked up to a catheter which required draining every few hours. I didn’t leave the house until the catheter was removed.

Of course I don’t know what procedure for prostate cancer Austin underwent, and he’s entitled to medical privacy. But I do know that I wasn’t fit for much of anything for a couple of weeks after my surgery. If he’s unfit for work, his deputy should take his place until he is. His not letting his staff or his boss know of his condition shows a lack of judgement in my opinion.

The word in the original article is TORTUOUS not tortious. It means having many twists and turns. Austin had a tortuous week.

Thank you. I have seen tortious in many legal summations, so I am surprised that it was not known.

I’m going to follow the standard set by the SecDef, and schedule my next colonoscopy for Dec 25th. If that doesn’t work, then I’ll do it on my birthday. lol

In it he talks about having his prostrate sucked out by a robot and having to wear a diaper for 7 weeks. I assume because of prostate cancer.

My husband had that. The robot is the Da Vinci and the doc operates it from a booth. The robot does it all. Two small incisions in the abdomen. No diapers but a catheter for 2 weeks. Every nerve one worries about losing with this procedure was preserved and he is thankfully fully functional.

As a side note, his PSAs were normal. It's the digital exam that caught it. Get both, gentlemen.

“It really sounds like the drs nicked his colon while dealing with the prostate cancer.”

A lady I know went back into the hospital shortly after a hysterectomy for additional surgery. Turned out they punctured an intestine in the process.

Try as they might, the 6 million dollar man he ain’t.

(The DS probably has spent more than that on the cover up already.)

The is a lot of post operative pain after that procedure. You have to use a catheter for a few weeks. Maybe he just couldn’t handle it.

Lips are moving so you know they are lying. Lardass Austin probably had a bad case of DC 14th Street Warrior STDs that were not treatable with antibiotics, hence the coverup. I’m sure he designated Retired Rear Admiral John Kirby, the National Defense Paid Liar, to call the Chinese to let them know if we planned to launch missiles.

Original Article: The surgery was Dec. 22, not Dec. 25 The word used was tortuous, not tortious.
