This is why we can't have good things.
If you're a Republican in Louisiana and you aren't lighting up the phone lines to the state legislature and Governor's office and filling up their email inboxes; letting them know this is unacceptable, you are complicit. This is an unforced error. Dimocrats have no desirable skillsets, only pathologies.

Republican Leadership is an oxymoron.

Similar situation in Tennessee. The GOP outweighs the Dems by almost 3:1 yet cant seem to find the backbone to actually behave like conservatives.

Epitomizes the kind of behavior that made me resolve to never contribute a penny to any GOP organization. Every bit as despicable as any Democrat politician.

“A lot of blackmail down there?”
Louisiana politicians don’t need blackmail to be corrupt. That is their default position here. And, I suppose, the same goes on in all fifty states.

Most LA Republicans are former Democrats, and old habits die hard. People can be so gullible.

The uniparty.This. Once you accept that they all play for the same team, it makes sense. Insisting otherwise is cognative dissonance.

The Republicans at the national and state level are for the most part liberals except for the tax issues. They run the same playbook, lots of lies about their being so conservative and then lots of excuses about why they had to betray their voters again and again. Sometimes no excuse other than deal with it.

The only difference between almost all dems and repubs is that the repubs are more quiet.
