SpaceX sues US agency that accused it of firing workers critical of Elon Musk

Rocket and satellite maker SpaceX on Thursday sued a U.S. labor board to block its case accusing the company of illegally firing employees who sent a letter to company executives calling CEO Elon Musk “a distraction and embarrassment.”

SpaceX in the lawsuit filed in Brownsville, Texas federal court claims the structure of the National Labor Relations Board(NLRB), which issued a complaint against the company on Wednesday, violates the U.S. Constitution.

The NLRB alleges SpaceX violated federal labor law by firing eight workers in 2022 for signing onto the letter, which accused Musk of making sexist comments that went against company policies. That case will be heard by an administrative judge and then a five-member board appointed by the U.S. president. The board’s decisions can be appealed in federal court.

...SpaceX in its lawsuit claims that because federal law only allows board members and administrative judges to be removed for cause, and not at will, the NLRB’s structure is unconstitutional.

Excellent! Most all Fed Agencies need more accountability to the law abiding citizenry.

It's Rooters "reporting", watch for Socialist Bias.

NLRB, FCC, EPA, Fish & Game all piling on to the second most hated man in the US. If only NASA could find some other space company as good as SpaceX, then SpaceX would be shut down permanently in the US.

Enter Bezos ... who will be receiving more contracts for his future rockets, should they actually work.

Yes and the employees should be rehired and paid at least $10 million each plus damages, or any amounts that will bankrupt SpaceX, and preferably Musk hisself.

This way Bezos will get more contracts and NASA can go back to being the premier US space agency, going where somebody else went before.

It gets better-—

Part of the problem also is that MUSK fired every employee that had been hired that is NOT clearing the SECURITY standards that every other USA space company had to follow.

North American——Rocketdyne-—ALL of them

SpaceX was the rocket used in 98 of the US’s 109 launches in 2023. Those 98 launches by SpaceX were more than the rest of the world combined for 2023.

Simply stated: Musk Enterprises Perform.

I strongly suspect this has a lot to do with Musk himself.

Musk was a darling of the Left when he pioneered electric cars. Once he came out in favor of free speech, not so much.

Here is a link to the Spacex filing:

https://storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.txsd.1946370/gov.uscourts.txsd.1946370.1.0.pdf

So you can read what the suit is about. In effect the organization is stacked and insulated from normal checks and balances.

SpaceX being largely in Texas, the suit was filed in the Southern District of Texas. I haven’t been able to determine where the “fired workers”, aka labor union stooges, worked, but SpaceX has been appealing the NLRB ruling in the 5th circuit, which includes Texas.
