What’s “Official” is this current version of the Nordstream story.
It is Official because it is coming from the DC Globohomo Regime via their major Deep State media venue - Wash Post.
And it makes my larger point about the danger of Alliances such as NATO.
When reckless leadership from any country in the alliance is a threat.
But also an out of control Deep State within any country is also a threat.

Lithuania doesn’t decide to do something as big as a Kaliningrad blockade on their own.
So what happened on July 13, 2022 when Lithuania dramatically reversed course and completely ended the blockade ?
The EU agreed with the reversal. Seemed to be urging it.
USA said nothing, after previously threatening Article 5 if Lithuania was attacked.
Maybe we will know some day, after this is all over. But I suspect that the EU bailed on USA/UK/Poland planned expansion of the conflict.

Nonsense the US, UK and Poland do pot plan or want an expansion of the conflict. They want Russia to stop being a predatory and aggressive force in the world. I doubt Russia would of done what they did had they known what would happen. Russia is willing to risk a war but, I don’ think they want one unless they could win. Everyone else is peaceful.

all of the other major powers are peaceful and not trying to take over other countries except for Russia. Minor countries do have violent civil wars and a few may even have plans to take other countries which are relevant to themselves. And the Arabs also. I do not consider any Arab country to be a major country except in oil production.

USA and UK plus many other NATO countries and “democratic” allies were front and center in all of Serbia/Kosovo, Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya.
In every case they bombed and/or had troops on the ground and attempted to forcibly depose the ruling government, and in Serbia, they also severed a province, and altered the borders.
Only in Syria were they not successful in creating Regime change.
