Yes, that’s a very good teacher/student ratio... you’d never find that in California. Suspect the problem here is communication... classes are probably multi-lingual...
I was struck by the 14:1 student teacher ratio.
With 64% ‘minority’ that means there will be lots of ‘special ed’ classes, limited-English classes (if the ‘minority is Hispanic’), and the certified administrators to manage them. These will be funded mainly by FedGov.
The same is true of 51% ‘economically disadvantages’ figure. Schools actually beg parents to fill out free/reduced lunch forms just to get a higher ‘poverty’ score because the poorer your students appear to be the more money the school receives.
Of course all of the money comes out of taxpayer’s wallets (or the printing presses).
