I saw that there’s rain west of you but wasn’t sure if it was expected to hit your area. Fingers crossed that it does. Your kitties won’t like it but the trees and grass sure will.
The temp just dropped all of a sudden not too long ago. The clouds finally moved out that were over us all day and what little heat we had was released to space. We’ll have a little sunshine tomorrow but we won’t get a lot warmer than we did today. 20s again tomorrow night, then our lows will stay above freezing. Still going to be cold. At least the highs will be fairly decent through the weekend.
It’s our mission! Always!
I hope it warms up a bit before you head up the mountain for the party with the crew. It’s going to be colder up there anyway, right?
I sure hope it does rain. It’ll give us a good head start for next summer. We only got 7 1/2” at our house last year, and I don’t want more of the same. Nor the heat. Especially the heat. Ugh
They’re saying 48 or so for the high Saturday. Not exactly warm but warm enough it won’t snow that day. It’s usually 4 or 5 degrees cooler at the museum but sometimes, it’s the same as down here. The Appalachians at the southern end aren’t super-tall.
Dang! Only 7 1/2 inches last year? Ouch!
We had 47 inches and that’s bad for us. We had 62 in ‘22, 75 in ‘21, and ‘76 in ‘20. 55 to 60 inches is about normal.
With a lot of luck, maybe this year will be better for both of us.
Yesterday at Wichita Ridge:
How's everyone doing this morning?
Howdy, E.G.C. ((HUGZ))
It looks like Gizmo was really wound up yesterday. LOL
I can’t even imagine that much rain any more. We probably got that much when we lived in Georgia or even Germany. But...this IS the desert. But 7 1/2” is low even for us. Our average is about 13”.
Wish it would rain. My allergies are going nuts. They used to be a spring thing, but now they’re year ‘round. Bah!
Good morning, E...((HUGS))...looks like Gizmo really enjoyed his adventures at Wichita Ridge...lots of neat stuff to check out and plenty of places to roll around.
You guys have a fun Thursday.
I’d say it’s a good bet you saw that much rain when you lived in GA.
What bumped us up so much in ‘20 and ‘21 was we had a LOT of rain both Februarys. We had a few days that we couldn’t use much water at all because the septic tank couldn’t drain much, the water table was so high. That was NOT fun.
I have allergies year-round anyway but it’s been really bad the past few months. Everyone is having problems because the air is so dry. There was light rain falling from the clouds over TN today but it all evaporated before it reached the ground.
The cats run away from me these days because they don’t want to get zapped by static electricity. LOL Can’t say I like it either.
Yeah, kitties definitely don’t like static electricity any more than we do. Especially on the nose. LOL!
I’m going to finish this show and go to bed early. I didn’t take a nap today and I’m more than ready for crashing now. See ya tomorrow!
I don’t like static electricity on my nose either. LOL Some of the cats like “kitty kisses” - - nose-to-nose kisses. I haven’t done that very much lately.
You stayed up pretty late for having no nap. Sleep well. Catch ya tomorrow.
Wind subsiding a bit but showery weather rest of week.
