Good evening, radu...hope your weather is warming up and you can see some rain.
Mid 20s here...the roller coaster of weather temps continures.
Bible in a Year :
Make it your ambition to lead a quiet life: You should mind your own business and work with your hands.
I didn’t notice him at first.
I’d come down for breakfast at my hotel. Everything in the dining room was clean. The buffet table was filled. The refrigerator was stocked, the utensil container packed tight. Everything was perfect.
Then I saw him. An unassuming man refilled this, wiped that. He didn’t draw attention to himself. But the longer I sat, the more I was amazed. The man was working very fast, noticing everything, and refilling everything before anyone might need something. As a food service veteran, I noticed his constant attention to detail. Everything was perfect because this man was working faithfully—even if few noticed.
Watching this man work so meticulously, I recalled Paul’s words to the Thessalonians: “Make it your ambition to lead a quiet life: You should mind your own business and work with your hands . . . so that your daily life may win the respect of outsiders” (1 Thessalonians 4:11–12). Paul understood how a faithful worker might win others’ respect—offering a quiet testimony to how the gospel can infuse even seemingly small acts of service for others with dignity and purpose.
I don’t know if the man I saw that day was a believer in Jesus. But I’m grateful his quiet diligence reminded me to rely on God to live out a quiet faithfulness that reflects His faithful ways. .
Reflect & Pray
How should your faith affect the way you work? In what ways is being a faithful worker a powerful testimony?
Father, please help me to remember that there are no small jobs in Your kingdom and to faithfully serve You each day.
Good evening, Pro...we must remember them.
Hi Everybody!
(((HUGS)))
Howdy, Kathy.
Not warming up here just yet. We broke 40, barely, for a short time but it had dropped back to mid 30s by the time I headed out to run errands. Tomorrow is supposed to be warmer but I’ll believe it when I feel it. Today was supposed to be warmer than it was.
No rain for us yet but it’ll be here Friday night. There was rain just south of here but all we got was a cloudy day.
It’s not looking good up your way this evening. Unless the radars are lying, there’s snow in your near future. :-(

One would wish all their employees "just did their job". These employees are special in my book, and are too often forgotten.
Good evening, ML...((HUGS))...hope you and Tippy are feeling better so you can get back to your walking routine. Hopefully no snow yet.
Hope you do get your rain later this week.
But, but, but....I just, earlier today, got my roof shoveled!! I don’t need any more snow. At least the snow on my roof is gone for now, and I had 2 loads of snow taken away from my front yard.
I’m signed up for the “same price every month, snow or not” snow removal til they start lawn care. Thank goodness!!! $166 for each month, no matter how many times they plow the driveway. 7 plow jobs for December, and none was easy. Whew!! I would love to pay for a couple months without the need for snow removal.
I sure hope “they” are wrong, but “they” are saying light snow for the next few hours, and starting again around 6a and continue for my trip to the office.
Good evening, Janey...((HUGS))...did you have fun in Vegas with your uber riders?
Stay safe from the storms!
Howdy, luvie.
We never forget them.
It sounds like your day turned out to be decent enough. I’m glad it wasn’t windy, keeping your kitties holed up in their warm spots all day.
The rain’s a given for Friday night into Saturday and we sure do need it.
Good timing for the roof guys to show up to clear off the snow but darn the luck, more snow moving right back in.
But the roof and your front yard are ready.
Good idea setting up for regular plowings. The way things look, you’re going to get your money’s worth!
It looks like it might already be snowing a little in your area. I can normally see the mountains and I can’t see them in your direction. I don’t believe it’s a fog bank this time. :-(
Hey there, radu!
I’m glad, too. Those days and nights are coming soon enough, so they need to be able to feel the sun on their little backs for as long as possible. Tomorrow we’re supposed to have about a 60% chance of rain, which surprised me. I’ll be even more surprised if it really happens. LOL!
You are REEEALLLY cold right now. Made me shiver to see that it was already below freezing there. Brrr! I hope you don’t have to get out much.
Good evening, luvie...we will always remember what they have done for our country.
