White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre is ripping into Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) for sending migrants to blue states and cities.
“It is shameful that a Republican governor — Gov. Abbott in Texas — is using migrants as a political stunt. That’s what he’s been doing,” Jean-Pierre insisted on CNN on Tuesday.
When asked to specify what she was referring to, the press secretary said, “The busing of migrants, the putting them on flights. It is shameful that that is occurring.”

It’s exactly what the federal agencies do every day. AFAIK nobody is being forced to travel, it is voluntary. Once inside the USA unless prohibited by a court of law, a person is free to travel to any destination. Many if not most of these immigrants don’t want to settle in Texas they want to go to other places in the country. Making this about the GOP or Abbott personally is just the smokescreen for the terrible policies - gives the left pundits a divisive taking point about a MAGA boogieman instead of analyzing the serious risks and problems that come with unfettered migration.
