Boston Mayor Michelle Wu did not violate state discrimination laws by holding a 'no whites' holiday party because the event was not open to the public, Massachusetts Attorney General has ruled.
Democrat Wu hosted the controversial event in December for 'electeds of color'.
Her aides were only supposed to invite her six city council members 'of color' but they accidentally sent the event details to seven white members too.

Equality. I don’t think it means what they think it means.
Deer mare....🖕
Of course, the party ‘didn’t violate the law’
The Law doesn’t apply to Dem politicians. Don’t believe me? Just as a Dem, they will be happy to tell you....
While it may not have tripped the discrimination laws, how about Open Meetings laws?
Yeah, that too.
LOLOLOL!!!!!!
Wonder how a state sponsored, for state employees, “No Blacks” holiday party would go over.
At the very least this is a major opportunity for white employees to sue under the Federal EEOC regulations and laws.
When nothing is authentic, nothing is real.
Good thing the Mayor didn’t have a whites only party or the “people of color” might have peacefully burned Boston down.
Michelle Wu is an unworthy dud—sort of like Claudine Gay!
How embarrassing for the Massachusetts Attorney General’s office......
Racist ‘Rats.
Im in Mass. i work in Boston. Anyone want to come to my “whites only” MLK party?
Yep
Wu has a group of people classified as “electeds of color” and that’s not wrong either ,LOL
Yeah...I’m sure it didn’t create an environment where white people don’t feel uncomfortable and discriminated against. She may be technically correct, however, put a foot wrong and will be looking at a lawsuit by a white employee (whatever that’s worth).
If it was a Republican Mayor having a “non-LGBT” party we all know the chopping block awaits.....goes without saying.
What if there were a protest resulting in a white man getting arrested and writing a Letter From the Boston Jail about freedom and working toward all people being treated equally regardless of color?
Wouldn’t go over today. Isn’t woke.
Wait a second what color does the Massachusetts Attorney General identify as ?
Let’s see how many white peoples vote for her again. I bet she still gets re elected
It’s a black female.
was it privately funded ? her aides sent out the invites ? on their own time ? using their own tools? nice try.
were spouses invited ?
