I’m with Melissa on this one.
When you are an armed robber, getting shot by those who you try to rob is an occupational hazard.
Nice people.
so someone is walking around store and then suddenly grabs something worth 1000’s and immediately starts running for the door... according to this guy, you can’t shoot him because he is already running! you are only allowed to shoot those who hang around after they start stealing apparently!
1. Don’t have video if you’re in a lawless Demonrat run city. YOU will be the one facing charges.
2. Get your story straight.
3. NEVER EVER TALK TO THE POLICE. Here’s an hour discussion of that and the police officer he (lawyer) has there as an expert says he agrees.

If you own a firearm and defense yourself, your property, or others, you will be a prime target for political prosecution. They want the sheep to stay sheep. Arm yourself and the system will use you as an example. Ask Kyle Rittenhouse.
I’m in favor of the immediate execution defensively of anyone robbing any store - armed or not.
We have a generation of feral ‘youths’ who have zero fear of consequences or the system. Quick executions is the best way to deter criminal behavior. Put a wild dog down and it won’t bite you.
Stay safe, folks. Remember this phrase, “I saw him reaching for what I believed to be a gun and I was in fear of my life. I had no way out. I’d like to speak to my attorney and have nothing else to say.”
Right on.
Better Article:
Not a lawyer, but as I understand it, you may only use deadly force if you have reasonable fear for your life. The manager who lived in the back of the shop heard people breaking into what amounts to his home. As I read the story, he shot one in the shop, but then kept shooting at the fleeing car killing the thug in the car. That’s what he’s in trouble for.
Someone running away (and not firing ‘parting shots’) is no longer a threat.
It also says he is barred from possessing firearms because of a juvenile felony. I was under the impression that juvenile felonies ‘don’t count’. But in any case, if I were he, I’d’ve invested in several black-powder weapons. An 1858 Remington Army repro will kill a robber just as dead as a .38 special. And there cheap shotguns available as well. You can get them through the mail in most states.
This lunatic prosecutor might want to explain why such robbers should EXPECT to be shot when SHE IS PROSECUTING A SHOP OWNER FOR HIS SHOOTING THE ROBBER.
Were Rajveer, Aarav, Shivansh, Rudra, and Shaurya the clerks on duty?
“...but warned that people “should expect to be shot” if they target stores..”
“But then of course I’ll indict the good guy’s ass.”
FU lady.
If that’s not an open invitation to jury nullification, I don’t know what is.
If you threaten someone’s life and livelihood: THEY WILL GET UPSET.
When people are upset and emotional they don’t always think clearly. But, if they have a firearm, they may be able to aim clearly and accurately. YOU JUST MIGHT GET YOUR [DERRIERE] KILLED.
If only.
Long past time.
AMF!!
Right now, while there is still some supposed law & order in place...you don’t shoot someone running away.
Once law & order have completely dissolved...all bets are off.
When Trump said ‘when the looting starts, the shooting starts’ it was as if he had machine-gunned 100 nursing home residents in their wheelchairs.
It was a statement of fact. Still is.
Too bad he did not have a bazooka.
“Although none of them shot Johnson themselves, the three face murder and burglary charges.”
The prosecutor is right. The shooter knew he was in the wrong which is why he and his brother tampered with evidence.
Don’t do that. If you shoot someone, don’t answer questions. Get a lawyer. You’ll be able to figure out your best possible defense if you need one.
Also, as quoted from the article above, the perps who survived are facing murder charges for the actions of the shooter. Why? They involved him in a crime that caused his death. Doesn’t matter that they did not pull the trigger.
The shooter has some culpability. But so do the robbers.
Only shoot someone when you reasonably believe they are a threat to your life or the lives of others at that moment. In some cases, you might have the right to shoot to stop someone who is in the act of committing a crime. But I’d be very certain of the right to do so before pulling the trigger.
