Glock contributed mightily to the frequent reports we see of small children discharging pistols, sometimes with fatal results. Also many, many unintended discharges by adults, too often causing serious injuries and death. His striker-fired pistols have a nice light trigger pull once cocked, but no safety control such as hammer-fired guns like the 1911, the Browning Hi-Power, and classical Walthers all have. (A true safety prevents the gun from firing even when the trigger is pulled. Not hard to design, but omitting it makes the pistol cheaper to make.) No tears will be shed for Gaston Glock and his legion of imitators in MY gunroom.

Small children inadequately supervised by gun owner parents and idiots who ignored the first rule of gun safety by pointing a gun at someone else. Not Glock’s fault some people are too stupid to handle a gun.

Fun fact. Despite what many think, the trigger safety was not a Glock invention. It was patented in the late 1800’s by Iver Johnson.

I went to a fatal shooting once where a security guard was armed with a Beretta 92, which had all the features that you worship. According to witnesses, he drew his pistol in time but squeezed the pistol so hard that the mag dropped out. That mag disconnect safety feature cost him his life.

"Glock contributed mightily to the frequent reports we see of small children discharging pistols, sometimes with fatal results. I dare you to show any (reputable) evidence that Glocks are any more prone to self-injury from negligent handling than any other make.
