Surveillance video shared with KTVU shows two men vaulting the counter about 4:20 a.m. and making off with the register. Why take the drawer when you can take the whole register...Sell it on Ebay!

Hot tip for the detectives of this case:
Check to see where Christie was on the nights of the robberies. Does he have a plausible alibi?

Lived in the Grand Lake district decades ago...Oakland was bad back then (late 60s); but the ruinous policies of LBJ (aka King Rat) hadn't yet fully rotted the place.

Shouldn’t have voted for it in the first place...we tried to warn you. She would survive a recall anyhow. Suck the embrace.

They (the taxpayers of the City of Oakland) believe that mere humans can deliver them from the evil that besets them. They are very provincial in their thinking, while the problem is nationwide and beyond!

On the great comedy series Sledge Hammer (1986-1987), the detective called for backup.
Suddenly 4 or 5 police cars raced up.
“Gee I have to compliment you guys. You were really fast responding.”
“Uh, well, to be honest there is a donut place right next door.”
On another episode Hammer had to get the facts from a reluctant punk he was holding at a convenience store. To get the guy to talk he forced him to eat the subs and sandwiches being sold with long outdated expirations on them. The guy begged for mercy and talked.

One of the suspects is seen also grabbing a donut before he takes off. Well, yes. I mean, he's robbing a donut store, right? Not going to get much in the way of wide-screen TV's in a donut store.

employees with shotguns can defend themselves, the other customers and property long before cops arrive. The solution developed by those in Koreatown LA during the Rodney King Riots.
