A recent poll shows Andrew Cuomo beating Eric Adams easily in a primary for New York City mayor.
Please, New York: Just say no!
Some New Yorkers clearly have short memories.
They want to forget about the numerous allegations against the ex-gov of sexual misconduct and abuse.
And the fact that COVID claimed the lives of 16,000 people who fought for and built this country, many because of Cuomo’s deadly March 25 directive ordering nursing homes to take in COVID-positive patients.
That includes my step-grandmother, who, along with her sister, were Long Island’s two Rosie the Riveter Homefront Sisters during World War II.
Yet let me remind everyone of the many other reasons Andrew Cuomo is not the hero some may think he is, but rather a major reason our great city is in such peril.
Ever hear of something called “hero syndrome” — when people seek recognition for responding to harmful situations they themselves have intentionally created (eg., when a firefighter is first on the scene and extinguishes a fire that he himself purposely set)?
Cuomo fits the bill.
Turns out he’s the actual creator of numerous crises for which he pretends he can be the savior.
Name an issue he now loves to talk about (in one-sided diatribes), and I’ll explain how he started the fire he now claims to be the only hero capable of putting out.
At the top of the list: illegal migrants.
They’re wreaking all sorts of havoc on the city (particularly regarding its budget).
Cuomo freely discusses the issue in his podcast and friendly interviews, as he attempts to make a political comeback.
Yet guess who made New York a sanctuary state? You got it: Then-Gov. Andrew Cuomo.

Eric Adams is an innocent babe in the woods compared to Machiavellian Andrew Cuomo.
But Cuomo may be more politically correct than Adams.
We haven’t heard Eric Adams say that America “was never great” yet.
File under, “And you thought YOU had it bad!” Couldn’t be any worse than what they have now.
Could be worse, could be raining.
A recent poll shows Andrew Cuomo beating Eric Adams.
What a no win deal looks like Andrew Cuomo must have missed a few nursing homes he didn’t knock off yet.
He's nothing of the sort. This is the same moron who told Conservatives in NY to leave, and said America was never great. He's a freaking moron, and was a corrupt Governor like his old man before him. He gave out billions of dollars left and right for building projects that got built, but the companies pulled out, and close aides of Cuomo's were convicted of crimes over those projects.
One building in Syracuse that was supposed to be a film archive cost $15 million, and when nothing came of it, the building sold for $1.00. Ex-Cuomo Aide Joseph Percoco was arrested, along with one or two of the contractors on fraud and bribery charges. Percoco was sentenced to 6 Years for his role, and a Federal Court knocked down his appeal.
A chip-making business costing the State $1.5 billion dollars, with an Austrian company that was supposed to be in Utica, fell apart. N.Y. SUNY Polytechnic Institute President Alain Kaloyeros, and long-time aide of Cuomo's was in charge of the project. He was arrested with 7 others for bribery and bid rigging.
Cuomo announced his "Buffalo Billion" project to revive the long-stalled economy of that part of the State. A billion of taxpayer money went to the project for a solar panel manufacturing plant. Many new jobs were promised, but although the building was completed, the solar panel company pulled out, and everything fell apart. And once again, Cuomo aide Alain Kaloyeros was at the center of it. Also long-time contractor Louis P. Ciminelli, former CEO of contractor LPCiminelli, was arrested and charged with bid-rigging.
Funny isn't it, that close aides to Cuomo were all corrupt, and committing corruption under Cuomo's big, fat nose, yet he knew nothing, and wasn't even investigated for any of it.
This thievery was done specifically to put big money into the pockets of Cuomo's biggest donors. It didn't matter if the projects failed, because the kickbacks would still be paid.
No, Cuomo is not better than Eric Adams, but he is more corrupt, and NY City doesn't need another corrupt Mayor to run it.
He's hardly that. See my post at #25 regarding Cuomo's corruption over the years, and the fact that two top aides of his were arrested for bribery, fraud, and bid-rigging, and received Federal sentences for it. And somehow Cuomo knew nothing about any of it, which is total horse manure. Cuomo isn't New York City's answer to anything.
That's because whatever Republican committee or group that nominates the GOP's Mayoral candidate is just as horrendous as the New York Republican State Committee that picks State and Federal candidates. They've been MIA for many years.
He’s a TAD BETTER BECAUSE WE CAN LAUGH AT HIM AND NEW YORKERS......CANT DO THAT TO A BLACK GUY.
When I was a kid, the old folks used to say that an Italian was nothing more than a nagger turned inside-out.
Sounds like you were raised by WOLVES!!
Did I say my parents? I said old folks.
I was raised around “old folks” and I NEVER heard that word!!
Andrew Cuomo is not qualified to be the leader of any organization.
He is a nothing burger. No surprise about the sexual charges, he learned that it was part of the benefits. WRONG!
He would not make it here in my sleepy little burgh, he doesn’t have it.
If New York studies this man, they might realize that Eric Adams is the better choice!
Remember his being Governor. How did Cuomo do with Covid?
Naming the bridge after his old man was an insult to the state of New York.
Piss on the Cuomo family!
NYC has RCV for a reason...
Well, some old folks are different than other old folks. I was born and raised in Rochester, NY in the early 50's. Those were different times, and politically correct rules weren't in place.
I was raised in the Cincinnati area.
And both Rochester and Cincinnati have turned into Democrat $hitholes.
If that happened, it would simply be proof of the fundamental idiocy of the gluttons for punishment populating NYC.
